Well, if we are going to post pictures of our Crossfires next to our Jeeps... Just bought this Jeep
last month to replace my wifes Ponitac Montana. Have another Jeep, a Comanche, parked in the
driveway.

Anyone here got an SRT-8 Jeep? If so, anyone got an "unbiased" opinion on them?

While not an SRT, here is my Xfire and my Jeep hamming it up.
(you can also see the wife's Pacifica and my '59 Power Wagon in the background)

I love them old TJ's. I used to have an '04 Rubi and loved it. Unfortunately my boys got too big to sit in the back seat... I still have my '01 XJ and someone will have to pry the keys from my dead, cold fingers.

Nice! I do like the JKs - they are extremely popular around where I live. It is nice because it definitely opens up the options of what you can do with it. I love my TJ, but it will never be a family car.

I don't have one, but I do know one person who has one and one person who has the same model but non-SRT. Horrible horrible gas mileage. You also don't get to enjoy the "cheap" factor of Jeeps with the SRT-8 because the parts and fluids are all "European" prices. Think $1000 for front brake calipers (Brembo), high-end synthetic oil required (like our Crossfires), etc. That said, the SRT is very fast and can hold its own with pretty much everything on the road, including ML AMGs and X5 Ms that are about three times more expensive.

Awesome! Nice rig. Love the red and the lift and beefy tires.

Agree with you completely. This is my first Jeep, I got it for dirt cheap and didn't know what to expect. It runs like a champ, gets me where I need to go in any weather, and doesn't drive me nuts when its dirty (like the SRT!). I hope to keep the TJ for a long time just as a utility type of vehicle since it is so low maintenance. Plus, the great things about Jeeps is that they always have somewhat of a decent resale.

I have an '01 XJ too, Evan! It's kinda mashed up front at the moment. Needs a new bumper and header panel(previous owner), paint is shot, but I love that thing! What color is yours?

Thanks. I bought it a couple of years ago with only a small lift, 31's and a weak 4 banger. It now sports 9" of lift, 35's and a 318 under the hood.

Needless to say I can never leave anything alone, not even on the xfire.

Well, I said someone would have to pry the keys from my dead, cold hands, but I upgraded the old Cherokee to an '04 Jeep Grand Cherokee this past weekend. I've been wanting a WJ ever since they came out...

I have a '08 Compass and a 09 Patriot. We absolutely love them. Never break down after both having around 75K miles, and great fuel economy too. Oh, the Xfire rocks!
