Default spraying oil out of the Dipstick tube

I have looked on the forum and did not see a thread on the problem i've experienced. Today, while taking out a 2012 Boss mustang, I noticed white/grey smoke out of the right side exhaust at around 140-150 mph. Of course I slowed down and had the mustang owner catch up to tell me so. The smoke immediately went away below 140. I stopped and checked the fluids and noticed oil had sprayed out of the end of the dipstick tube. Have any of you experienced this with your SRT, and if so, what is a good remedy? This has happened once before and I went straight to the mechanic, but they didn't find anything wrong(except the oil spray on my new NS DCAI). I hate driving slow, but I'm forced to drive my pickup unless I can find a cure. Once again, I'm sorry if there is already a thread on this topic. I have one other question that I know already has multiple threads, and that is the question of what would be the best pulley set up for a daily driver with a dual DCAI and a future Eurocharged programming? It seems that Needswings makes a quality product, and everyone appears to like Eurocharged. I'm not sure which way to go. If any of you have an opinion either good or bad, I would appreciate it.

change the o ring on the dipstick tube. that will solve the issue. e/c would be a great choice for tuning as they are close by. 178mm pulley or c3 style s/c pulley has the least amount of issues as far as tuning but the 181 has the best grunt for 1/4 mile

Sometime back I solved this problem and did a posting, pull one of the o rings off the oil change kit to replace the dip stick one. The oil ring is a bit bigger and thus tighter. Enjoy Woody

And make sure the crank case vent system is working properly.

I had this same issue and the dealer quoted me to replace the entire dipstick tube because the seal.

...I laughed at them for a minute, until they showed my that my dipstick tube was bent causing the seal to break...then I cried and told them to fix it.

I heard this before but it has never worked out for me as the O-rings were not the correct size.

I know when I did my first oil change with Steve we replaced the O ring with a slightly bigger one. Went from sliding in and out with no friction to having to pull it out (not yank).

A bigger one works perfectly as long as it bigger in the correct manner.
The standard O-ring size is a Parker size #2-014 which is nominally sized 1/16" x 1/2" ID x 5/8"OD.

Stretching a Parker size #2-110 with the nominal sizes of 3/32" x 3/8"ID x 9/16"OD works perfectly. The stretching reduces the cross section and increases the ID and OD's. The OD when installed is about .660"

You cannot use a bigger 1/16" section O-ring, and a bigger 3/32" section O-ring #2-112) with a 1/2"ID would have a 11/16"OD (.687") which is too much.

The correct size O-ring comes with the oil filter, I'm not sure if it's one of those used but you could always use the old one anyway.

If someone does not have access to a pile of O-rings then knowing the exact size may help them. I have access to a shelf stocked with O-rings, so I was able to select the best fit.

Simply saying "use a bigger one" is no help to most people, so I told them the exact size. What's to over think anyway?

Excuse me for trying to help.

the help was noted. my point was the oring kit from harbor freight costs about 6$ and there arent many who would measure to fit. they would just find the next size thicker

Why waste $6 on a kit of O-rings which may or may not have the correct size and most of which you'll never need, when you can buy the correct O-ring for <25 cents if you know the size at a hardware or auto store?

The correct size O-ring comes with the oil filter, I'm not sure if it's one of those used but you could always use the old one anyway.

i guess because i work on everything from a lawnmower to my cars to my friends cars and so on. having a variety of bolts , washers, orings, and so on keeps me from having to go to the parts store every time for a .10 part. like my tools its just something i picked up over time.
i moved from a small craftsman toolbox to a 60" wide 72" tall cabinet for my tools.

You're lucky, some people live in smaller shacks than that.

I wish you two could've met at the dragon. I easily could've sat back, drank a beer, and watch you two old farts go back and forth. Then add Franc to the mix and then John and I wouldn't have to try and sell iPad Apps.

I hate it when they are right cause you know 3/4 of the time they're just making **** up in order to charge you for more work.
