Default ASP 178 pulley + EC supercharger pulley

Anybody running this combo? Would we need to upgrade the ball bearings in the supercharger except for the one sitting in the supercharger pulley?

ec pulley is comparable to the c3 65mm s/c pulley so no bearing upgrade is needed. i run the same setup in a fluidamper 178 and a c3. what you will see is fuel pump pressure drop at wot and the need for larger injectors to ensure no lean conditions. approx 20 psi boost in hot weather so far but the colder temps of fall will inc. boost and the need for a retune for the leaner conditions.
you will also see 40 to 50* higher iat temps when running the car at wot . temps rise very quickly.

Talking Re: ASP 178 pulley + EC supercharger pulley

Your fuel delivery will drop due to the increased intake manifold boost pressure --retarding or resisting the fuel pressure. Id suggest an adjustable regulator on the pump or increasing the air pressure at the fuel pump to adjust the pressure setting of the factory regulator.

The stock injectors will flood you motor if the rail pressure is a bit higher, no need for injectors. Talk to Needswings Rob for more details on your setup. I had as high as 25 psi and pulled F/A in the 9's before I got the settings undercontrol. Woody

Thanks

I will have the following setup:

- 550cc injectors and fuelrail from TTM
- SL55 AMG fuelpump
- SuperCooler with 5/8" ID
- Extra heat exchanger in front
- Johnsson CM90, 17.2GPH

Don't think that the intake temps will be a problem due to upgraded intercooler.

Basically the only thing that has to be upgraded in the supercharger are the bearings, or I'm I wrong?

I will take mine apart within two weeks and check if I can find bearings that are good for 20000+ rpm, then we will have a safe mod even when the supercharger reaches rpm as high as 17000rpm.

I'm running stacked also. The 550cc injectors, rail, and pump solved all my lean issues (links are in my signature) and its a very simple solution.

Inside the supercharger? The bearings that go through the gearbox are sealed and the gears are pinned. There are two bearings on the rotor side that look very high quality. I don't think there are any better parts available.

Yes, I know. I have ordered a custom made intercooler. Little bit wider and longer then the original one.

Was at the phone with a Swedish company who maybe have some highspeed bearings for our s/c pulley

I will get back to you regarding the intercooler. As soon as I have tested it and it shows better performance then the orginal one I will let everybody in on it
