I'm putting in NGK BKR7E at 0.9mm (35 thou) for now - will dyno the car next week (hopefully).
Have a Code 3 to install but maybe not this week.

1. remove all the plug wires and coil packs. ( be careful with the metal covers over the plugs if you end up having to use pliers )
2. LOTS of various size extensions, shortest being the 1" one, and at least 2 3" ones.
3. I cut a couple of lengths of tubing that fits tightly over the plug porcelin, makes it easy to remove them, and insures you don't cross thread upon installation.

5. DO THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR PLUG FIRST ! ( the rest will seem easy after that one )

 

I was going to say do the two back plugs last or better yet on another day when your fresh. It will be hard to change the other plugs with your knuckles all bloodied.

 

use a 20mm open end wrench and slip it over the plug wire. pop the wire off. use a 3" extension on a deep well socket and a small 10" piece of pipe over the end of the ratchet to break the plugs loose. no bloody knuckles. you have to be smarter than the car!

 

I remove the coil packs first, it gives more room to work. After that you can do the job with pliers to grab and pull the metal boots off, a plug socket, 3" extension and 3/8" ratchet. Use anti seize on the plugs and be sure to get the metal boots all the way back on. You have to push HARD and with the small space to work it's not as easy as it sounds. Just take your time and don't get frustrated.

Found a "long" 9/16" open end wrench to pry the boots off worked well.. tubing to fit over the new plug end helps quite a bit on the initial install of the plug. And I left the coil packs on.
