Chrysler announces new SRT6 to be put into production...
I may be tired, but I don't get it...explain it to me like I'm five. Who's the pot and who's the kettle?
Hey guys (for some reason I'm envisioning cartman with cartmans voice... I'm telling you, you don't want to be inside my head) ... let's start over lol
The past,
Hey guys let's put AMG all over our car. It'll be cool because it's really an AMG on the inside.
The present,
WTF man, they can't use SRT6 on their small crossover. It's totally not a real SRT blah blah blah Why didn't they ask if we were okay with them using our letters. BLah Blah Blah
Now go back to my lovely photo,
Kettle meet Pot

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand this is why I de-badged.
Apples/Oranges though, Nicky, as AMG owners aren't bent out of shape about the Geländewagen being adorned with the same AMG letters that are on the SL65. That's what's going on here... intra-branding uproar. This isn't a case of a Toyota using the Chrysler motor from the SRT-6 and calling their Camry "SRT-6".
This is a classic case of the "pot calling the kettle stupid" as Steve says

Didn't they actually make one? I think I recall an R63.. the two-digit powertrain nomenclature normally depicts AMG vehicles...
...and I definitely didn't mean to start a big uproar, just read the article and felt like sharing since many people have said frequently they want Chrysler to make a new Crossfire/SRT6.
It has potential, but the journey needs more SUV and less minivan styling before I would consider it. The dodge dart SRT4 would be a nice daily driver or toy, especially if it is RWD or AWD as I mentioned previously.
With a setup like that, it would eat kids for lunch with a few modifications....if only they would make the dart the SRT6...that would be an incredible car.
Now that's something I could back 100%
Out of all of this, the one irritating bit for me (as I wouldnt't really look twice at a Van/SUV, never have wanted one), is that the new Dart is a sedan...
