Nice find!

The claimed power increase is huge, but the price is as well.

"Our long tube headers alone will produce gains of 30-35hp and 40tq without any other modifications"

"The introductory price for the SLK32/SRT6 Crossfire Dyno-Comp/MBH long tube headers is $2,995.00"

These looks great. Maybe a groupby would make it possible to get them cheaper. 3000dollars is far to much, maybe for 1500 hundred I would consider it

These headers require the removal of the drivers side heat shield and the factory exhoust pipes need to be cut and sliped into the header adapter. They will lower the price to $2500.00 if we can get more than 3 ordered at one time.

I wonder if they could do $1,750 for 10 kits?

For $1750.00 I'd go for it.

The owner told me that he has had poor luck with group buys and would prefer to work with small groups. If we can get a SURE commitment for 10 who have prepaid I think we would have more negotiating power. I asked him how much a group purchase of 10 would be and he said 2500. That's when he told me about the bad luck he had with the group buys in the past. Apparently people agree to purchase then back out leaving him with product. That is why I say that if we can get 10 CONFIRMED people to agree to the purchase and if the price is right we may be able to get a better deal. Just my. 02

I cant belive you guys are even considering it at anything over $1000.
They even look a little tacky in the weld quality department.
...but will eagerly await the results

would you need to rerun your eurotune after this add on?

IMO, find out how the car performs across the whole powerband with these headers. Don't worry so much about peak HP claims.

I spent thousands on long tube headers when I still owned my Hyundai Genesis Coupe V6, and it was a huge mistake. Sure, it made more HP at the very top end, but the car lost gobs of low end torque. It was not pleasant for daily driving, not to mention it got really loud too. Just an all around waste of money and effort.

That's a beautifull set of long tube headers. However, the prototype price puts it way out of my reach

Yes, before spending any cash (especially BIG cash) on a mod, getting a dyno graph of a before-n-after comparison is paramount. The fact that you get 1000hp at 7500 RPMs at 120mph means nothing if you don't have a good torque curve to go with it. Daily driving would suck.

Get the graph... A peak improvment of that large amount needs substantiation and to see where it appears on the curve. What's the improvement in the rest of the curve?

I will buy anything that is proven to make more power. Especially at higher rpms. $2,500 for legit 40 whp is not that bad. But then again when are these figures accurate? Dynos are important but track times is where its at. With that said i would not dish out even $1500 to be a guinea pig. I dream of a day where headers are as abundant as intakes and pulleys.

But, would you be willing to sacrifice low-end torque to get that 40whp? Headers will do that. If it's a track car, great. But, daily driving it might suck. HP is not the total game plan in general for a multi-purpose car.

I think we are all spoiled in the torque department! Theres more than enough torque for almost any occassion. Heck id give up 40 ft lbs for 40 hp but thats just me.
