Talking Had to go to the dance alone again, again and again.!!

-Went to the track with the C with my kumo tires 275/50/17s and did my best to date. First three runs were a hoot. 8.088, 8.087, 8.075. The tires are better but I cant do any better, Ill hold till next season as I have a problem and a fix I belive - more next year.

At the Dance ( track) I had to run alone, no one of the cars behind me wanted to stage with me and I never red lighted, oiled the track or crossed the center - no it was too fast for the camaro, mustangs, civics and other motley cars.

I had this last time with the C and BOTH times with the challenger..............GEEZE its test and tune for gods sake. What up with the pin heads???? Oh well more time to focus on the tree. Finally got some stang next to me and he red lighted twice and got wasted by the C; 3 out of three runs. It felt good and the tires seemed to help some 0.3 seconds over my BFG drag radials last time 275/50/15s.

Woo Woo that was good, now the signature will be changed...Taaa Daaaaaaaaaaaa

Thanks for posting your progress. You had a better time with a 17" tall wheel than a 15"? The hieght is still a 50 profile but what does it actually measure compared to the BFG's? If the overall height is taller with the kumos than you are essentially running a lower # gear ratio. How much wrinkling in the side wall do you think you are getting. Do you have bead locks and what psi do you use when dragging?

Sorry for so many questions, I am looking into a rear set of drag wheels and tires.

Kumos were best at about 20 been lower, wrinkles were not evident, marks well positioned and flat. Kumos were about 1" shorter overall. No locks on tires, not that level of power. Woody

Do others finding the crowd shying away at the track, I had a 454 Chevelle that was next to me but got shifted by yet another civic that broke axle again again..

Woody....you are doing good there... Back in '08 the roadster did solid 8's on the stock size tires... so you are doing very well. With your mods, no reason you shouldn't be in the 7's very soon... Go get them professor...

I have issues that are needing some sorting out, but when I figure it all out, everyone else will benefit if my assumptions are correct. Yes I should be in the 7s, abet 7.999.

"working"
