Default Sprint Booster for Srt6

Sorry guys. Searching just generated more questions but I'll take a stab at it.

Sprint Booster 1st generation is non-selectable and must be ordered specific to the SRT.

Sprint Booster 2nd generation is selectable and is generic for the NA and SRT?

Presumably, the switch is glued to the side of the console somewhere?

Consensus is that the 1st gen makes the SRT too jumpy?
Thx for any input.

I have the NA sprintbooster on my SRT and love it but my fiance thinks it is too jumpy. I am totally adapted to it now and don't even think about the sensitivity. Pretty sure I could never go back.

That is a great reason why you should have the selectable version. Stock or sport selection for her; and the red light selection is for you.

Ye i've got 1st gen and its only jumpy for the first week coz you press the pedal as much as you normally do, but when you get used to it theres no jumpyness at all. The cars as jumpy as the driver's foot .

Good point - except she never really drives it anyways and it makes me nervous when she does!

Where do you mount the switch on the 2nd gen?

Some people have mentioned mounting it directly under the steering column.

I am one of those people. Yes, I tried it originally on the dash, but I didn't like the additional light that it produced. Because it gets changed so infrequently, it doesn't really need to be front and center so to speak, IMO. So yes, down below, in line w/ the steering column for me. I only change it when I autocross during the spring/summer. Other than that, it is always in the green mode; even for Dina.

How does it attach? Velcro? Scotch tape? Elmers school glue? Anything but drilling holes.

I cut a small piece of double sided body moulding tape to fit, and placed the selector button just behind the knee bolster and where the plastic undercover starts, just to the right of the center fastener. The joint between the plastic cover and the knee bolster works well to tuck the wire in cleanly. The textured knee bolster and dash doesn't have good holding power when it comes to adhesion.
