Question Solenoid Issue

Gent's,

I recall seeing a thread related to the failure/replacement of the solenoid in the attached photo. I can't seem to locate the thread now, can someone assist with a link?

Thanks,
Nel

It is in my list in my signature, under 'Heater and Air Conditioning' and titled 'Heater Valve Repair'.

Is this broken valve your problem? There is another repair in a MB forum where the valve leaks inside, I'll have to dig that one up again sometime. You have to drain the system so the level is below the valves or it will leak all over the place. Or maybe pinch of the hoses if possible.

Get the CEL codes checked.
CEL = Check Engine Light.

Thanks for the tip, I'll be going through your signature to see what gremlins are waiting for me.

Don't know if its the broken valve or leaking valve yet, I hope neither but would settle for option 2.

I was looking for the the leaking valve thread but found these two.
