Winter? Who's talking about winter? This is Houston. It's going to be 77F this weekend and these cars don't belong in snow anyway.

The OP stated he has the shifter in standard (or not wet) mode. That's all I was asking and it's a valid question.
I too agree with that, I was just pointing out that the argument about Wet or Winter was a moot point, as the manual lists it as both .

I installed the new RCM today and all is normal. It had a 20 amp fuse in it as did the original? The wiring diagrams only show 15 amp fuses and one 40 amp. Which is correct ? I changed the 20 to a 15 as per the diagrams. I am glad someone mentioned disconnecting the SC clutch connector, to be sure my SC was working. I was shocked how unresponsive the car was. It also gave me a CEL. So in conclusion I had a "senior moment" my SC was fine all along. I needlessly replaced a cooling pump, now I have a spare. I did discover the RCM had a problem keeping the air pump from running and fixed that. I gained alot of knowledge about the electrical system. Thanks for all the responses.

Believe me, W stands for winter. At least in December here in Sweden...

Not to be picky, but that would be "Winter" mode.

Not to be picky but .....
From the 2005 Owners Manual, they all say the same.

'Program mode selector switch
The transmission is provided with a selector switch for
Standard “S” and Winter/Wet “W” (snow and ice) program
modes.'
