Default Looking at a 2005 SRT-6

My dad and I are looking at a 2005 SRT-6 here in GA. We've always loved the design of these beautiful cars more so than its Mercedes counterpart. The car is stock and in excellent condition with 66,000 miles. The guy is asking $12,500 and I'm looking for opinions from people on this forum to see if this is a good deal or not. I've checked KBB and NADA and his asking price doesn't seem bad and we don't want to low ball him when we make an offer. We're just wondering if there is any sort of upcoming malfunction to be expected even though these seem to be pretty solid cars. What are your opinions?

Sounds like a very good price to me. These cars are very solid, so nothing big should be on the horizon for 66K miles. Don't be surprised if you need a $100 intercooler pump, as that's the most common failure.

That's just a bit more than I paid for mine but mine had 85K on the clock. If it's been taken care of, sounds like a great price to me.
EDIT: Is it a coupe or a vert?

Sounds like it's Lar's Black Coupe.

Good car, good guy, good buy. That car has been maintained well, has never been modified and has been well loved - If he'll take $12,500 I'd jump on it.
I was considering it, but have a career move coming up in the spring and probably shouldn't spend money like that right now.

For pricing, I'd look at

Used Chrysler Crossfire SRT-6 For Sale Gainesville, VA - CarGurus

List of things to look for

Good luck

I have only seen 3 common problems with the srt-6 , water intercooler pump ,heated seats stop working and motor mounts break . That's it other then that these cars are solid

Yeah, but that is common on all Crossfires.

$12.5K for an SRT-6 coupe is a great price IMHO.

Ya, if it's been cared for well, that's a pretty decent deal. Check all the common problems first. Run a fluid/oil analysis if you really want to be ****. And can your Dad adopt me even though I'm probably older than him, so's he can go with me to get the Tesla Model S 85Kw?
