That car's exterior was perfect. Not a stone chip to be found.
It's still sitting there, they moved it to back behind the service department.

Honestly, it looked factory, like it had never been driven (didn't see under the hood or inside).

Somebody who is too busy at work to take off and look at it. Wired the funds and is sending someone to pick it up.. about all the information we got..

But we did give a quick "know your crossfire" lesson to the salesman that walked up to talk to us.. LOL

 

I bet he wasn't ready for the knowledge bombs you guys dropped on him!

 

He got a pretty good ear full..he acted interested and we kept talking.. LOL. And now knows this car has almost a "cult" following..

But I did learn they do see crossfires there along with Vipers etc for service. (kinda a chevy-dodge-chrysler dealer thing there) Sooo if I ever have to throw in the towel on a fix.. at least it sounds like they might have a crossfire tech working there!

 

That's a shocker that they have someone working there who has a clue.

 

Actually he was kinda shocked to hear there aren't just a whole lot of dealerships around the country "qualified" to work on them..
Did put a bug in his ear about me checking ebay reguarly.. and if a red roadster..vanilla interior shows up..

 

The sales guy who talked to me before MrM got there didn't know that only 926 Roadsters and 2016 Coupes were ever built.
He said he thought the Crossfire was more numerous - I said, "sure, the LIMITEDs and Base models".

Well, if anyone was looking for an AeroBlue SRT Roadster - this is THE car for them.

THAT is for sure.

 

We didn't get to pop the hood.. open the door..or play with it.. but Pizzaguy and I couldn't so much as find a rock chip in the paint on the nose..

 

I could go by there on the way to the airport tomorrow!
