More pulley talk - Let's get physical

Sorry, had to add a catchy title like Woody does...
Just received my Eurocharged pulley today and wanted to do a physical comparison between the ones I now have. Figured I'd share the info with you guys while I was at it.
Firstly, I have to say that the Eurocharged pulley looks well made, with sturdy aircraft grade rivets. Also note, it uses an NSK 32BD45DU bearing vs. the NSK 32BD45DUM used in the stock and C3 pulleys.
So, how do they "measure up"?
Note: I used a digital slide caliper and measured them each at the peak of the grooves (where the belt will ride). On the Stock and EC pulley the lip is the same as the groove peaks. However, on the C3 pulley the lip is larger at 65mm.
Stock:
Dia - 74.0mm
Wt - 41.8 oz
Code 3 (2nd Gen):
Dia - 63.7mm
Wt - 32.8 oz
Eurocharged "61"
Dia - 61.9mm
Wt - 22.8 oz
The EC pulley is also substantially lighter due to the use of aluminum.
Not sure if the benefit of lightness will outweigh the sturdiness of steel, but time will tell.

Great stuff! I wonder what the boost/hp differences are with each pulley? I have the second generation Code3, not sure what the difference is from the 1st generation but nevertheless did not realize how close the Eurocharged and the Code3 were. Thanks for putting this together.

Good call, I forgot to list that I have the 2nd gen Code 3. I'll edit the first post. Apparently, they labeled the C3 as a 65mm pulley because that's what it measures at the lip. The true dimension is where the belt rides.
For boost pressure, I was peaking at 17psi with the C3 on a boost gauge tapped into the Y-pipe (with stick manifolds and intake). Unfortunately, I'm changing so many other things now with the pulley I can't get a true comparison for people.

OK, I'm stumped. What's the difference between the Eurocharged "65" and "61" pulley? It looks like the comparison curves on the EC website are still showing only the "65" results. And the little table that used to show boost/HP/torque for stock vs the pulley is gone.
What is the peak boost/HP/torque for each of the two pulleys? A new curve showing the entire power band would be really helpful.
Also, it seems that the stock, Code 3, and the original EC 65 pulley were all steel. But EC has gone to aluminum with both sizes now. Strength of the aluminum is adequate? Don't want the pulley self destructing at 6,000 rpm.
No lip on the aluminum pulleys? Don't need it to ensure the belt stays put?

Sorry, I don't own both EC pulleys. So can't give you the data comparison your looking for. Once I get everything put back together, I'll provide logs for the 61 though. It's kinda hard to have direct comparisons as that would require a retune after swapping each pulley out.

I can't give you data info. What I do have is identically modded cars except 1 has the new 62mm and the other still has the 65mm. The acceleration on the 62 with the new fuel mods and new tune is just amazing. You have to tune for it and you need more fuel. I haven't tracked the car yet. Still tinkering.

Thanks guys, and Doc thanks for the insight on tuning. I was thinking of doing the Needswing Dual CAI and a pulley this winter while the car is snoozing.
Was curious if the boost with the 62mm pulley
1.) Is too high for a long term daily driver
2.) Requires more fuel to prevent lean burn
I don't really want to get into injectors and a fuel pump. Sounds like I'd probably be happy with the intakes, 65mm pulley, and tune.

I think the 65mm s/c pulley puts out less boost than the 181mm crank--the pulley that's giving me my lean issue above 5k RPM right now--so you should be ok. Double check into that. If you're going for a high-mileage SRT like I am, the s/c pulley won't overdrive the accessories like the larger crank will. As far as engine life..what's your driving style?

the 62 on 155mm crank should generate 19.0psi with stock air - add 0.7 for DCAI
you will need a PSK for slip + Supercooler for cooling + SL55 fuel pump + tune
(and as others have said - maybe not - but to be safe looped rail+ 550cc injectors from TTM) however stock are already 480cc so I'd be tempted to go 750cc based upon 80% duty cycle.
Lean - I think this maybe the case if you dont have a DCAI as the engine will not be wanting to draw aginst the 0.7psi drag on the intake.
A wavetrack will assist with traction + save tyres.
