Air Filters, suggestions anyone?
Does anyone have any suggestions on air filters? After finding out the CPS can ONLY BE BOSCH and wasting my money on other brands that didn't work, I figured I really need to ask all you guys about the other parts I'm looking to replace.
Thanks sooo much!

I've used NAPA, and when I take them out of the box, they have MANN printed right on them. James
I recommend the K&N air filters
You need 2 of them
Buy them once and keep them a long time
These filters are intended to be cleaned periodically but not replaced when they become dirty.
Available at many locations

The oil and gauze filters require you to spray them with a special filter oil to make them more efficient and work properly. They are more work than throw away filters since you wash and dry them and then spray them with the oil, but you will save money in the long run. I haven't personally used them so I can't vouch for any performance gain you may get from them.
After reading this article I removed my K&N filters and bought factory replacements at http://www.fcpeuro.com/products/merc...-w170-042-1641

You have an SRT6 right? that uses a different filter. K&N 33-2256 you can find them on ebay too and don't forget that you need 2 of them.

May try the aem washable dry filters I had k&n oil filters did not like messing with oiling them. Went back to other disposal filters for better filtration. Then i found the dry filters that others on forum are using. I went back to disposal filters when i read a article like this a couple of years ago! Got to thinking about it, have 50,000 miles now , in 5years maybe put another 50,000 miles? I change oil as required i think any small amount of anything that gets past filter will do no harm unless maybe after 500,000 miles are so , an i will be not of this earth anymore.
