Default V6 exhaust design

I am planning to put a new exhaust system to my M112 AMG engine... thus doing my research respectively.

This paper describes design investigations of an exhaust system for the V6 engine using WAVE and KADOS. The influence of several parameters and designs on the exhaust orifice noise and the engine performance are shown...

sound pressure levels & engine performance is analyzed thus to understand the key concepts of exhaust design on our V6 engine.

Engineer talk for how to make an exhaust system flow best, without producing excessive backpressure and keeping noise at or below certain levels in varying situations.
Computer mumbojumbo basically.

Thanks for the post, it confirms some of my thoughts as I am planning my own exhaust. I don't have any scientific evidence, just some basic engineering common sense but my design now has some real merit. I appreciate it.

very interesting.
Not sure it helps anyone unless they can get the files and run the software....but interesting just the same in that the science can predict an outcome.
