It's been awhile SC pulley help
I have not been on here since 2/2012. WOW. how time flies. Anyway I'm ready to do a SC pulley, what's popular these days? I see 62 and 65's and it seems Eurocharged is the place. Any info would be greatly appreciated. I have 32K miles now on my SRT6 vert! Bought in Feb 06 with 270 miles.

The area of the rivets and the three springs should be inspected for cracks.

I just had an OEM pulley fail on my SL55 ... 2 rivets had lost part of their head (making them look like a "D") and one of the springs failed at the point that it "road" on the new stress riser created by the "D" of the rivet. ... the spring at the second rivet (that had also "D" 'd) was showing signs of accelerated wear at the new edge of its rivet (getting ready to fail).
I can only imagine that had I caught this at the point where the first rivet became a "D". I could have taken the pulley off and replaced all 3 rivets saving a few hundred dollars

I've just discovered a loose rivet on my 61mm EC pulley w/ less than 200 mi on it. I'm gonna contact them and see what the deal is. Are people having a machine shop shoot new rivets or sending them in for repair?

If EC does not offer a free and fast solution, I would consider finding a local clutch re builder and having him replace the rivets.

probably some are doing it themselves ... although the most prominent mention I've heard included drilling out the "dog bones" (connecting springs that are riveted at each end) to accommodate locally available rivets (ie drilling out METRIC RIVET SIZED holes to accept LARGER NON-METRIC SIZED rivets) ... not sure I'd go that way.
I have heard of EC having customers send defective SC pulleys directly to ASP to have rework done including having new rivets installed (a job they will do for $75 if contacted independantly).
BUT, you are in the land of metric .... so like I said I would find a local clutch/pressure plate rebuilder and have him handle it were I you.

That link now shows a redirect on page 13 (?) to here Karmen Supercharger Pulley---SRT6/SLK32/C32 . Is this the same pulley?
