I have finally put what I would consider enough miles on my 62mm pulley that I can put my stamp of approval on it. I've had it on my car for about 10k with a varied combination of city, hwy and track driving including two 1200 mile road trips without incident and can say it is a marked improvement over stock and a noticeable improvement over the C3 in both initial tip-in response as well as overall gain across the entire powerband. Sadly I've yet to jump on a dyno because with my car being AWD, I can't just strap down on a regular one and time on a 4-wheel roller is north of 300/hr right now during the busy months. While in the past I was able to get away without any belt wrap solution, a NeedsWings pulley saver kit is pretty much a requirement with this 62mm as the diameter of pulley lends itself to a noticeable amount of belt slip between stock pulleys/belt routing and having the PSK installed, but even without the PSK, my car still performed better than with the C3. I would recommend that you get a tune with this pulley to take full advantage of the additional boost you'll make with this pulley. Stock I was seeing it peak at 13.7 PSI, with the C3 I was seeing 16.9 and with this pulley, I hit 19.0 a few times with it consistently peaking at 18.6 - 18.7. When this stacks up against the different sized pulleys, it's right in the middle of a 181 and 185 boost wise so figure the performance gain accordingly. Again, without a tune, you're not going to realize the full potential of this pulley and for those in the northern US and Canada without a tune, I'd be very careful to monitor the AFRs as to not end up leaning out in cooler fall weather.
That being said, it's now ready for sale and I am putting together the initial group buy. The group buy is open until next Friday, the 17th of August and at that time, I will be getting everyone's information to the manufacturer to process payment. Since the person manufacturing these wants to handle all the sales of these to build his business, I'm just lining up the group buy and working out quantity pricing. That is not to say I'm not standing behind these as I am the whole way. These are not some fly by night from China junk and the only reason I'd even do the group buy for another company is my involvement in getting these to everyone here on the forum and my personal testing these to make sure they're worthy of being put on our cars. From the type of metal used for the friction surface, the temper of the dogbones and the rivets on these pulleys all being pressed at the same time under equal force to ensure linear alignment, these pulleys are on par with that of the ones from the factory and this is from what went into the overall design of the pulley, the selection and testing of the materials used and the attention to detail during assembly.
Pricing will depend on the number of people we get lined up for the initial group buy. Retail will be $750 plus $15 flat rate shipping in the US and actual shipping charges to anywhere else in the world. Since I've seen group buys end up with both lots of or very little interest, I've put together pricing for them based on several numbers of people we get lined up. There is no deposit and this group buy will be on the honor system until the actual payments are collected. On the 17th, I'll be sending out payment information to those on the list and after payments are made, I will post where we are at on price. Since this is the format being used, I will be posting those that "rick-roll" the group buy so please don't put yourself on the group buy if you have no intentions of actually following through. Expect these to be finished around the middle of September so that is why the group buy will end on the 17th so we have a month for manufacturing.
All prices are without shipping:
1-3 - $725
4-6 - $700
7-9 - $675
10+ - $650
Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure. FYI, the rust/discoloration seen on the right pulley in the bottom two pictures is due to the harsh solvents sprayed on the pulley during destructive stress testing and will not occur under normal conditions. The pulley is going back on my car and was taken off just to show how well is has fared after 10,000 miles of use so trust me when I say I stand behind the build quality of these pulleys.

New pulley w/ front mounted spacer ring

New pulley on left, my 10,000 mile used one on the right.

Again, new pulley on left, my 10,000 mile used one on the right. Something to note is the newer production pulleys will have the rivets recessed so they are not exposed to the clutch. This was something we were well aware of during testing and with it being a less harder material, didn't affect the outcome of testing.

Right when you think you have modded enough, along comes another damn mod....and it of course needs a pulley saver kit to make it perform to it's max....Rob and you are going to give the old guy a stroke...lol.....
I've got the PSK already, but I've always wanted a smaller SC pulley. This comes with a sterling
recommendation and 10k miles of testing. I seem to recall a lot of folks saying they would be
interested in buying a smaller SC pulley, so I'd think making the numbers here should be easy.

I know that the faster you spin the water pump, the less volume it moves due to cavitation. That cavitation should make it spin easier but at the same time, it is probably power neutral due to taking more power to spin it faster but not having as much drag on it at the higher RPM. Make sense?
Speaking of which, where's the write up on the changes you've done to your car Hmmm?
I know this group buy page hasn't been up long, but from all the talk over the years, since the Code3
pulley was relieased, I've seen post after post about how a smaller pulley would be greatly desired. I'd
have thought, with all that interest, this list would have been at least half filled by now. Is it the case
that all you folks who once posted along those lines have simply gone with a stacked setup, or one of
the larger crank pulleys?
So, c'mon and let's get some. Rudy has 10,000 miles of documented performance with one of these
new units, way more than we had with the Code3. Let's get this list filled and get the ball rolling!

My Code3 became unsafe so I went with a crank pulley. Those of us that spent the bucks for a crank pulley most likely won't swap it back to stock and buy the 62mm supercharger pulley. However, I'm thrilled to see it become available.

I did and it was almost borderline lean near the top of the RPM range before I tuned for it hence my recommendation to have it tuned and to monitor AFRs.
Thats for a totally different thread. Long story short, the car needs an engine.
way to go Rudy, I was wondering when u were going to release the (SC62) pulley,,part number SC62,
way to go glad you are still active in making the crossfire faster. now make me some new stuff. LOL,
Note: going to the track Wed. 8-8-12 will let you know how our latest mod works, thanks jim
