Have been running a 181 and a Code 3 since Jan 2009 on my coupe. No issues, just grins!
Running a 192 on my roadster with no issues also.
One caveat is I'm at 4600'.
All mods?? Loc??
Coupe - 181 with Code 3. DIY performance intake, mail in tune, tighed1 supercooler, Johnson pump.
Roadster - 192 crank pulley, mail in tune, tighed1 supercooler, Johnson pump.
Sierra Vista, AZ

Mail in tune?? Is that tune done by EC. Tighted supercooler?? Is that stage 2 by NW. No fuel upgrade such as sl55 pump or 550 cc injections.
- Sent my ecu with list of mods to get a generic tune done (forget the name at the moment).
- Tighed1 supercooler is the woody supercooler except dual pass and $100 cheaper. I made 5 before I was shutdown by vendors complaining.
- Stock fuel pump and injectors.
No longer made. Well I guess I can't get one. I am getting nw stage 2 tomorrow. Is HP increase greater
I am a guy that my pic of MY DIED MOTHER IN MEMORY AND PLEASE DON'T GO THERE.
Honestly right now I don't know what the **** is going on. I am reading different people's opinion and all the post. I don't know who to believe. It seems like people are talking bad about each other as in disbelief not liking each other. I thought this was a community as one. Trying to help each other out for the likehood of our vehicles we love. I know the game of racing I used to race street bikes & 4 cylinders. People talk **** and think they know it all but don't and hasn't proven anything. I am just wanting help that I thought I could get from here. I was planning on going to the tail to unite with members and see and learn different things about this vehicle. To meet new people with the same interest. I used to be in a car club with different chapters over the US. We would meet and have an excellent time.

not all cars or locals are the same.
First rule is that if you want to live near the edge, you must data log ... or you must be lucky.
relative to your question of the wide range of different perspectives presented .... keep in mind that a 192 mm crank pulley at 4600 feet pumps less oxygen into an engine than a 165 mm crank pulley at sea level .
enjoy the ride,
Chris

Try getting answers from the MB site and see where you end up.
In the end, you're always gonna have conflicting answers, that's racing. Many ways to achieve your goal, just gotta pick a route and see it through.
I'd say you have just about every key needed to move ahead, including a phone number. Good luck!
In my case stacking was too complicated. I was worried about blowing up my engine while getting the fuel system, cooling and tune dialed in. Not to mention, the power gain wasn't worth the trouble or risk IMO. The faster you spin the supercharger (stacked) the farther out of it's efficiency zone. Therefore if you make 4 lbs of extra boost (stacked) it takes a lot of the additional power to spin the supercharger and your IAT's go up taking away more power as well. I saw very little gain at the 1/4 mile. I ran an ever so slightly faster time when I cooled the car for hours but at a slower mph. The hot lapping I did that night was a touch slower than with just the 178. So, the 1/8 was faster, 0 to 60 faster, but the 1/4 was the same without sitting with ice on the motor for an hour. I only ran the one night stacked. I decided it wasn't worth the risk and it wasn't going to speed me up in the racing that really matters to me. Based on my one night stacked, at sea level, with and without ice, driving 1 1/2 hours each way to the track my conclusion was. From red light to red light the instant power felt great. The boost was huge at 14.7 AFR's, not being tuned for such high boost at part throttle the engine was in danger. It would cost a lot of money and time to get it right. Do what you want. The differing opinions are partially due to the differing usage of our cars and differing altitudes. I'm sure there's more but I've said enough already. It's your decision. If you don't know what your doing, stacking the pulleys is going to be risky. We don't want you to come back in a couple of months with a thread asking where to find a new engine.
