Les, I really don't see different opinions from people that are running it now or ran it in the past. Other than the high altitude situation, everyone said that this is not a "daily driver" setup. If it was a race car only, then experiment away. BTW, to the OP, data logging is essential so don't forget to spend $$ on it too.

I don't see any bad mouthing in the advise you ask for.......in fact, we have given you the safe "drive it on the street" set up and the stacked set up that you sure as hell better data log, or watch yourself melt a piston or two. That is a fact, and has been proven. These AMG engines will take a lot **** up to a point and then they will implode. Just because we take a poke at each other on here, just means we all have an opinion, and have for the most part each proven our stance. We have dedicated racers, part-time racers,(me), and of course the newly developed class of "bench" racers....here to help, bud.... But, you better have broad shoulders, cause it do get interesting....sometimes...

This board and its contributors have been extremely helpful to me, and i keep in mind that I don't have to pay for high quality consulting and they don't owe me anything! Based on the consensus of the board and after spending hours of my time reading, I got a Eurocharged tune, 65mm supercharger pulley and TCU tune all at the same time. The car also needed a new IC pump which I was able to select and install myself due to the info on this board. After doing these very very simple and bulletproof mods, the dyno run showed an increase of 56 wheel horsepower. My 0-60 time is 4.5 seconds +/- 0.02. This is vastly more WHP than my current tires can deliver to the ground in 1st and 2nd gear in autoshift mode...so I achieve that result via manual shifting. Based on further reading, I just bought a set of Kumho ecsta xs rear tires a member pointed us to that will hook up tons better. The car is so fast and capable I can't believe it. By following the advice, recommendations and DIY instructions from this board my car has dramatically improved without a single setback and at TINY comparative cost. The only thing left for me to do IF i decide to do it is a DCAI and retune...but frankly, this car is already a screamer thanks to the member's advice.

search, read! Then Do the stuff that is widely accepted first and then see where you end up.
