Sorry - I originally posted this thinking you were under the impression both give similar gains and its just a simple one or the other.
However you may be wondering if you just go half way with the 65 or all the way with the 185.

crank/charger
185mm/74 = 155mm/62
2.5ratio = 2.5ratio

but...
with the 185 - you speed up both the A/C + alternator + water pump - so many put bigger pulleys on these to compensate (and reduce some hp power drain)
depends how much time you expect to spend up above 5000rpm....;>)
also you need a bigger belt me thinks

with the 62 - many report additional slip/"chirp" because you are lessening the amount of belt wrap around the smaller pulley.
So you are increasing the power trying to be consumed by the SC (higher pressure ratio), but you are reducing the area the belt is in contact with the pulley without actually changing the belt tension = less friction
So a pulley saver kit PSK (NW or latemodel) helps you here. Talk to them as to if you need a different belt.

That's what I was thinking when I linked him back to his original thread.

No one knows better than me there are a lot of routes to take. If you take an aggressive route, then you have to monitor air/fuel closely and be working with a good tuner who understands what you are trying to do. It took me over a year on my roadster. Guess what? Roadster was done, ran a 12 in the quarter. Did not break the 11's I was shooting for. Too fast for a roadster without a roll cage, so NHRA would not let me race the car. So, retired the roadster, bought a coupe. Started all over again, but, and the big *** but here was, guys like Rudy, Anthony, Jim, MoparRbust, Daith, and some I am missing were experimenting. I watched and learned from them on how far to mod my coupe without taking away the ability to drive it long distance to car meets and such, and still break the 11 second barrier. The roadster did receive modified manifolds and a new tune out of the build of the coupe. I am positive both cars will run the 11's. Hopefully the coupe will be at least .3 faster. You have to watch and learn on here, as everyone has an opinion on the route to take. I took the fast but safe route with the roadster. I took the fast but monitoring to be safe route with the coupe. There are some dedicated racers on here that will beat me heads up. No doubt about it, but I know I can stay with just about anything marketed today under a 100K. That was what I wanted to accomplish. So don't be shy to ask questions. But don't beat the dead dog either. Be specific and you will get the answers you need. Good luck man...we want you to be successful.
