Supercharger pulley problems?
I just got a Eurocharge tune of my ECU and TCU and purchased a 61 mm Eurocharge SC pulley that I have yet to install.
Just put the ECu back in today.
While looking for the install directions for the pulley I came across a post saying the Euro charge pulleys rivets fail prematurely..
is this an isolated thing or would I be better off returning this pulley before I install it and get something else?
Thanks
Brian

I am not going to talk badly about Eurocharged. I think they had some problems in the beginning. I would think Jake would have solved this problem a long time ago. Better to ask them directly as to what they have done since the first run of this pulley. I haven't heard anything on here lately about anyone having any problems. But what I never will understand, and I mean this in a polite way, why anyone tunes their car before finishing all the mods they want to install. I don't want anyone in my ECU on a regular basis. Install all the mods you want to run, then the last thing you do, is tune it to what you have installed. I know the re-tunes are free, but every time you go in there, it is like any computer, that is just one more chance of a screw up. My roadster has had 2 tunes in 6 yrs. The coupe has had 1.
I think you may have misunderstood me. I am doing all the mods and the tune at the same time.
The SC pulley was the last thing on the list to be installed and when I was looking for the directions, specifically where the belt tensioner is I ran across the post about the bad rivets.
I haven't even driven it yet..
I also pulled the front bumper cover off and had it repainted, on fogged the headlights, did 4 wheel brake job and a bunch of other little things.
I just wanted to find out if the pulleys are good or not as I don't need to reinvent the wheel and don't want to damage my engine.
Thanks

Then you are certainly taking the right path....as I did misunderstand your post. Good for you... Again, I would think we would see the forum lit up if there were failures out there. I have not heard of any for sometime. I am running the 62mm on blue, and staying with the 65mm on the roadster. Both car run very well right now. We will have them both at the track next spring for some times. Both are modded the same except for the 62mm requires more fuel, so the fuel is different. Other than that, they are identical. Just missed the 11 second barrier by a few tenths last time the roadster ran. So, hoping to put them both in the 11's on street tires next spring...we shall see.
Yes I did alot of mods this week the catch can , CAI, ECU and TCU tunes , brakes, headlights and now the pulley.
Just want to make sure the pulley is ok and is not defective.
There was a post on this forum on 10/13/2013 that a EC SC pulley came unglued.
All I asked was is this an isolated incident or is this pulley problematic.
Not trying to bash eurocharge just trying to find out if there is a problem with their pulley.
Thanks
Brian
