Am I Missing Something?
There's a brace below and left of the supercharger that looks like something originally was mounted there. Also, I've searched the threads on this forum for adjusting the belt, but I can’t even figure out which pulley is the one that adjust tension. Sorry, newbie…..
Your not missing anything.
Looking at your photo...
The "black" visible pulley is the water pump pulley, just to the right, (below) is your crank pulley, to the right of the crank pulley is your belt tensioner. You'll need an E10 (if I recall) inverted socket, which will loosen the belt by shifting counter clockwise. Pulling the fan in front by popping off the front two clips, and unplugging, fan will pull straight up and out, giving you more clearance to work the tensioner.

Thank you Power. You say turn it counterclockwise and it will loosen the belt. So, if I turn it clockwise it tightens? Is there a locking nut on there also. How does it stay in position? I feel like an idiot here, but don't really have a clue on this.....
The belt tensioner is spring loaded. It will retain the proper tension once released with belt in position.
Ok, I did think that it might have a spring to hold it, but thought I read were someone had said their belt was lose. So I assumed that you could tighten it somehow. So, can the belt be too far gone for the tensioner to tighten it? Or the spring shot? I'm have issues with the alternator light coming on in the car when I hit the peddle hard. I was told it may be a bearing going on the alternator or the alternator itself. I was hoping it was just a slipping belt, but the belt doesn't look like it has a problem. Of course one doesn't get off that easily....
Things to check...
Loosen the belt off the tentioner, lower passenger side, where your alternator is located, check the the grooved pulley to see if the bearing is seized, or has any movement which would cause in to turn nonconcentric.
Also, a bad alternator can affect your battery, have a local auto store check the voltage, should be 12-13 volts. If the alternator is defective, signs of electrical problems will occur. Do your headlights dim under acceleration?

And the tensioner is not seized up or has a broken spring.
Seizure is possible, I see rust on the water pump shaft and signs of mild corrosion on the engine block in the picture.
Also make sure the belt has no signs of oil contamination.

Yes, it looks like it has spent some time near saltwater! I would try to clean the engine bay up a bit.
NAPA may have it (my local store stocks the Valeo with the 8 rib pulley for the SRT-6) at around $200.00.
Make sure you get the same brand as the one you pulled and that it has the same pulley. The N/A's are different than the SRT-6's and I have seen the N/A alternator mistakenly listed for the SRT-6.

Yes, I checked on line, and Advanced Auto had it for $193.00. I ordered it today at around 7:00pm and they said they'll have it at 7:30am coming from Delaware to Michigan. Amazing, this overnight thing.... I will check the pulley for the eight count. We'll see if it shows up correctly...
It says 31 ft/lb.
