what temp does SC clutch disengage
what temp does SC clutch disengage
I think my 2 year old johnson IC pump is going out. This morning (28 degrees) the air intake temp (through ultragauge) said 165 degrees and the SC clutch disengaged, I ideld until it cooled to about 70 degrees and then it happened again at only 116 degrees. I was hoping the SC clutch would disengage at about the same AIT every time but it didn't seem to this morning. Anyone have the details on why the AIT's are at differnt temps when the SC clutch engages/disengages?
Re: what temp does SC clutch disengage
IAT's had been all over the place for about 3-4 days. Luckily it has been cold outside. Swapped the old Johnson out for an updated bosch (Needswigs to the rescue). This morning IAT's were back to normal.

Re: what temp does SC clutch disengage
well I don't think that's correct. (What Vlad reportedly said)
Now I'm able to log - phew....I'm pretty sure my SC Cooling systems f..ked but (assuming my MAP's OK ) I'm still pushing >+14pisg at 235 IAT.
Surprisingly I don't notice any of the sluggishness others report either (in my short local 30min runs ) - 0-62mph in around the stock 5 seconds every time...????
