Default SRT with 65,000 miles

I am looking at buying a SRT-6 that has 65,000 miles. Are ther any thing I need to be concerned about with this many miles. When will the timing belt need to be changed. I am sure it is expensive to have done. What about other issues?

They have timing chains so no worries there.
Read this post for hints about buying a car.

At 65k there is not a ton of things to think about. In reality you have about 15k before the trans flush, you are most likely looking at tires soon if they have not be replaced recently, and flush and fill the coolant system if it has not been done yet (I don't buy the 100k mark), and maybe a battery.

I am sitting with 154k on my SRT6 and for the most part the car has been pretty low cost to maintain if you know where to look, and are comfortable turning a wrench.

Underneath the Karman skin is an AMG Benz. 65K is hardly broken in but most likely had any production issues addressed. If it has no Mods to the engine, that puppy is likely fresh as new.

Look for aftermarket CAI, intercooler mods, or a performance tune. If it says Needswings or Eurocharged anywhere under the hood, that means the previous owner was doing something with the car, but........... knew what he was doing.
