Ground Control kits are ready!!!
Is there a filter in this forum? So you can only see posts made by your "buddies"? Getting tired of all the shitty posts.
Respect goes out to GC for doing this. Thanks to Hustler for pointing them in the right directions.

they do look good but they look just like the KW's with the exception of a extra set of shocks (why) and an extra adjustment adj at either the top or bottom of each spring,
KW has an extremely high reputation for being a quality coilover in the import community, and being reasonable on price. They may not be the best, but they are known for winning a few races
I am not in the market this minute, but if they are still for sale i'll consider those between this GC kit. I am planning a wedding and my SLK is being build by Rudy right now still
KW does make some decent stuff, but for this platform the package they sell is sub par at best. We have their variant 2 setup right now and after driving Tommy's car they are not even in the same league. Ground Control did some pretty trick stuff with the spring mount and you have the ability to choose different spring rates which KW does not, they only have one rate available, and the rate is way to soft.
I also have the Variant II's and the fact that you have to remove the springs to adjust the height is frustrating at best. It made corner balancing financially irresponsible so the shop got it "close enough" with my budget. The K&W's worked fine for me, or I believed they did, until I moved to R-Compound tires. Now their limitations are obvious to me. I'm TOO excited about the GC parts AND impatient. I've been like a 7 yr old waiting for Christmas, looking at the Sears Christmas catalog every waking moment and dreaming of what I'm going to get.

I am sure they just want to make sure they are perfect with all the interest.... Nothing like a poor launch with a new product. I am sure they will be fine... I just want to know the price. PRICE..... Need to keyhole some $$$$$.

Looking forward to Justin's and your reviews when you get some testing done at the track. With the new elevated speed and forces that will be transferred to the car, don't forget that a new "weakest link" may reveal itself. Not saying w/ the new kit, but w/ the existing OEM parts and pieces. One spot that was mentioned awhile back was the swaybar bushing brackets attachment point w/ the body;
getting fatigued and cracking. I'm no suspension authority by any stretch, and you guys know what may be more important to keep an eye on for sure, just saying be careful out there. Watching and learning here.

Heresy I say Heresy!
So I wasn't going to come back to this thread after Jokey smurf started lying just for the sake of lying. By the time the Ad-hominem attacks began I had already made contact with GC ( thats how I knew they were just making up little lies) Donovan is supposed to be the guy in charge of this project, yet despite 3 phone calls, and 2 emails I still have yet to get a return email with any concrete info, or even fluid info. I would have to think that this thing is much farther out than is being presented when my offer to buy one will not even be responded to from the source.
When we all look like this:

And still can not get any answers, it makes me wonder as well. Same with the CF diffusors, hoods, turbo kits, etc.
Nooooobody loves us

Kick a guy when he is down will ya? That really is why I think a few vendors are less likely to take on an out dated car's aftermarket projects. But, then again, they should know what they are getting into before they take it on....
So I guess the truth has to come out eventually, you guys are all right! This whole thing has been one elaborate, long running Aprils fools joke. It was all set up months in advance, all with the intention of getting everyone excited about an improvement to this outdated step child of a platform we call the crossfire. I was the ring leader, Tommy was an active participant, and Donovan at ground control was my inside guy to make it believable.
You can either believe the story above or you can believe that the Kits are close to being done and ready to ship. It's out of my hands at this point and I'm just along for the ride.

well ****,, now I am glad no one bought my KW's, I do have one open deal on selling them, maybe he will back out,, then i can keep them. jim
You won't want to see the price. With many on here wanting to jump on board without knowing the price expect the worst. But if its too high, many will quickly jump overboard since there are no deposits being held. Either these guys are taking one hell of a risk by having the products produced in bulk or maybe you will have to wait for the items to be made after your order is placed. Anyone know?
