Braided stainless hose and fittings can be pretty expensive. I was fortunate to get almost everything for free thanks to Russell Performance and Redhorse Performance through my drag racing sponsorship from The Contingency Connection.

Yep. New 8AN line to the rail, 6AN return lines, and at the suggestion of Rob from Needswings, I used the OEM supply hardline as the new return line to the tank. It wasn't too bad. Installing the AN hose ends was more difficult that I expected.

2003 (my year) SLK32 AMG 3220 lb
2005 ( 1st year) SRT6 coupe 3240 lb
2005 ( 1st year) SRT6 roadster 3328 lb
Do you have different information?
I put my car on Longacre scales and had my car corner balanced. It weighs 3292 with me in the drivers seat. It's lighter than stock but not by a lot. The gentleman that races a SLK in my area swears his weighs 3400 to 3500. Now I know better.

A question for boostmonkey. Have you found a difference between the fuel pressure at the regulator and the FP at the rail with engine running? Where do you have it set to 66, at the rail or at the regulator?
I only have a fuel pressure gauge on the regulator, I no longer have a test port on the rail itself. I do not think there would be a measurable difference.

One more question for you
I looked at all the charts and they are great! But I was wondering if you know the max rpm are superchargers can spin?
I ordered a 65mm pulley to stack on my 178 & a Killer Chiller kit, I am going to put the reservoir were the
exhaust res was & have a small expansion tank under the hood.
Thanks

Good to know! Thanks!
I think the heating and cooling cycles are the biggest worry.
Like Matt said - we don't hear of SC failures...I don't think I've heard of one yet....(in my short 2 years).
Note: when you speak of 16k rpm - that's the direct driven 5 lobe rotor...the Teflon coated 3 lobe rotor is spinning at 5/3x16k = 27k rpm....

No, I do not know. I am spinning it over 16k and so far, so good. Others have spun it well over 15K for a while with no issues. There are no reciprocating parts like the engine so I don''t think it will be a hard "max" rpm. Rather, more time at higher RPMs will put more wear and tear on it. We don't have a known, history of supercharger failures thankfully.

On the street I am running 255/40/17 Dunlop Z1 Star Specs at 33 psi. I am thinking about switching back to the OEM size 245/40/17 for the next set though to avoid fender rubbing (it is very close). I will probably be switching to BFG Rivals for the street later this year.
rolling the fenders won't give you enough room to run a 285 on a slk sorry. with perfect offsets and rolled fenders you might can get a 275 in there buts thats about it
subscribed on the R170 /w 285's......
Good to see you chiming in Gakz...
what boost you got on your 230 ATM?
