Default 33k miles and a pulley is squealing like a banshee?

I've only owned my srt6 for 8 months or so and in that time I've driven it about 3,000 miles. Took it into town the other day and I hear a faint but steady chirp from the engine bay. I figured it was probably a pulley but at that point it wasn't audible at idle, only when in motion. The next morning I start it up and it's wailing like a banshee! I mean embarrassingly loud. I took my non air conditioned hot box of an astro van to work and haven't bothered it since. I'm hoping it's just the idler, but I need to pick up an e-socket torx set, and maybe borrow my girlfriends stethoscope so I can check it out. I Just can't believe I'm having to screw with this thing with such low mileage on it. This was supposed to be my dependable car. I even bought the extended warranty on it, but unless it's something major I don't think it's worth the hassle of making a claim.

Got a set of e torx sockets today, it was the small grooved idler pulley. My girlfriend said it sounds like a baby rat screaming when spun by hand. Who stocks these?

Just an update and FYI for anyone who has ever tried to purchase one of these from the local discount parts stores. They don't list the correct part for our vehicle. It comes up in their system as a 6 rib pulley, and it doesn't have the correct inner bearing shaft/spacer. In some cases it doesn't come up at all.

After a little research, I found the following compatible parts:
Dayco 89080 available at Advance Auto, Pepboys, and Autozone (alternate part #231115)
Gates 38091 available at Napa and Oreilly

All were right around $33-$35
Unfortunately for me, my local stores still didn't have them in stock, but yours may! I'm going to check with Mercedes and Chrysler tomorrow.

Who stocks what : Torx Sockets ? Girlfriends ? Baby Rats ? Pulleys ?

I got my pulley a couple of weeks ago from https://www.rockauto.com/catalog/x,c...,parttype,6956
Bought the $11 + $3.54 shipping one for the MB SLK320 and it was an exact fit.
( used my T50 3/8" Torx bit - 5 minute job )
