Default Euro-Flash Program (help needed)

Ok, so I can't be the only one with this issue.

I can't get the Eurocharged Euro-Flash software to run on my laptop. It has Windows 8 on it. I have tried running it in all compatibility modes with no help. I've tried on a Win 8.1 machine and same story. When I contacted EC, the tech said that "some computers running Win8 have problems". Anyone find a work around to fix this? I'm really tired of setting up an old PC next to the car every time I want to flash the ECU...

Are you running it as Administrator?

Yes, as admin. Have tried all compatibility modes and 2 different PCs. One with Win8 and one with Win 8.1

I have it running on my Win 8.1. It only started working after the Aug. 2014 update from Microsoft. Run the Windows Update and see what happens. When you say that you will not run, is it because nothing happens when you click on the exe?

Yeah, it was designed before Windows 8(crap!!!) crap came out. Find an older OS operated laptop.

Make yourself a virtual drive to load win 7 or XP in, then try it!

Lenin, you are the man! That was exactly it... The latest 8.1 updates fixed it! I'm on a 38k "DSL" connection in my village, so I don't always have the latest updates as it takes about 6-8 hrs to DL them.

But I am up and running... now to sort out this tune. The 1x a year 1/4 mile test & tune in my area is next weekend!
