Default Smaller rims On the SRT6

So recently as I've been adding parts and looking into the car more and more as far as slicks, my options are stupidly expensive 19'' slicks on stock rims (which I'm soooo not okay with....) Or new rims and fit slicks on those. Which I'm partial to because I'm storing all my stock parts. I've read something or another of Mercedes 16" rims can fit? Anyone know any truth to that?

While I'm on it, I realize this would probably be frowned upon but its more of a curious thought than anything. Has anyone fit 16" rims on the front AND the back, or smaller (will be measuring my rotor tomorrow at work when I put her on a lift), and fit on beefier tires? Personally I grew up with an old school influence so small rims, big tires, has always been the more attractive thing. And the whole 19" rim thing really throws me because I never know what size tires I can use on them...

MT ET Street from NEEDSWINGS 26x10.5x16 pair (2)

  • D.O.T. Approved
  • Compounded For Maximum Traction
  • Requires Little or No Burnout
  • Engineered For Consistent Performance

What's the offset and size of the rims I can get to fit these? I'd rather see if I can find em for 100-200 less, I work in a tire shop so I can get slicks with a discount same for rims

I wouldn't recommend this particular ET Street radial. This one is a bias-ply which requires running tubes in them. I just made the mistake or ordering these and sent them back and just received the ones I should of ordered yesterday. You should look into getting the ET Streets with steel walls.

I got a set from Needswings about 2 1/2 years ago, AND NEVER HAD TUBES IN THEM they were fine ,, you should have BIAS in the front also, the ET street radial you can run your stock tires. I now have DR's on 16" rims.
these also use the stock type lug bolt (ball type) after market wheels lugs use tapered , these rims are 8.5 x 16 with a offset of 20. the tire u use should be 26" tall jim

yes, my tires are 26" tall. I found the same 16" early 90's SL wheels that rob sells on ebay from a local seller for $100. Granite they are prob not as good condition as the ones that rob sells, butni plan on getting them powder coated gloss black anyway. Its my understanding that the radials u suggested (bias ply) are strickly for the track. The ET streets im talking im talking about that i bought (#3793) can be driven on the street as well for up to 15,000 miles. Not goin for a "this is better than that" topic, just saying one set is more dedicated to the track, and the other set u can put on at home and drive them to the track and are a more aggressive tread pattern.
