Default Help Cylinder misfire

If anyone has any ideas please advise. It started 4 days ago with a little misfire then as car warmed up it was worse then at idle in gear it was very noticeable they it threw on the check engine light. took it to a friend mech. pulled the codes said misfire cyl. 1 so I bought a new coil pac and plugs for #1 and replaced them reset the light next day same thing started out slight miss then worse now light checked code again same misfire #1 even now when car starts up runs smooth when driving no mis only when its warm and at idle. Thank in advance I know I will get some very helpful advice. I don't post on here much but read all the time.

Try swapping the coil to plug WIRES from another cylinder.

check wires, make sure they are clicked in place. then switch wires, then switch plugs, then coil packs. Injectors come next/fuel pump, and then the cylinders themselves. You should find the culprit by the coil pack switch or before.

Changed #1 coil pack and plug wires with #4 seems to have fixed problem so maybe it's the plug wires

Sorry if I missed it but how many miles on the motor? I have a set of plugs and wires from Rob sitting here but removing a steel threaded plug from an aluminum head after being in there for what is likely 14 years is somewhat disconcerting. Knowing my luck I will remove most of the threads on at least one of those plugs! I have to assume no problems? I bought mine simply since I believe mine have been installed since new as I bought the car last fall with 72k miles on it so assume they are the originals. Glad it worked out for you. I have a couple of small, very small bucks at idle that I hope are removed once the new tune parts are installed! Mark
