Default Passenger side grab rail delamination

Does any body have any experience in repairing the inside seam delamination of the passenger side grab rail. It feels like a foil separation from the handle on the seam closest to the door. How to get at it to replace or repair.

I read that someone just ran a strip of electrical tape down the inside of it. I may do that on mine as well. You will never see it, and it is fairly elastic vinyl that should keep it in place.

That thought crossed my mind as well. Feeling like metal, I have some chrome metal duct tape handy , so I may cut a 1/2 inch strip and lay it in there for the same feel. You are right, no one would ever see it. There is a right side door panel on ebay now for $168. I think but it may have the same problem. Thanks for the post. This is my pig's old car, did you know him? Good guy.

I cut of the chrome that was peeled back with a sharp knife and then rubbed it smooth with some emery cloth. It worked for a while and then it started peeling off again, I just repeated the operation yesterday. As some have cut themselves quite badly I had better get to it before someone gets blood all over the seat.
Some have stuck the fuzzy side of some Velcro© tape on the back of the pull bar. I think I'll try that as a solution.

There are some leather covers that you can get, that velcro over the grab bars. csteve0355 from the forum here put me on to them. Mine are Black with Red Stitching.

That sounds good but I think I would like to keep it looking stock. That said, it could look very cool with a SRT logo embroidered on it.
Thanks, I'll check that out

I wasn't having any problems with my door pulls, I just bought these to keep from having any. Look kinda nice. If I knew how to add pictures here i would. If you care to send me a PM with your e-mail and I will take a couple of pictures and send them to you.

I did the same as Bill T. miscetera.
Had mine made up with black and red stitching with matching pillars.
Looks great and good quality work.
Asked and got a break for buying both.

OK guys,
I listened to all ideas and all were good. I liked the leather covers and may do that someday. I did end up using the chrome aluminum duct tape. Cut a half inch strip to fit the length of the handle. It worked perfectly. Now I hope it lasts.
