Default Best brake pads??

Ok, I'm in the need of new brake pads for the Srt6 - would like some that don't produce much dust. Are the Rotex gold still available?

Any suggestions and where to buy from? Thanks in advance.

Akebono, EBC Red Stuff, HAWK, NAPA Gold, and as you mentioned, Rotex Gold.

Hyper Ceramix by DiscItalia from Brakeworld. I would stack these against any other pads for stopping power and lack of brake dust! Not cheap but worth it.

Same here with EBC Red Stuff. Good stopping power, little wear, no noise, very low dust.
( and they are painted red to match my red calipers ! )

I bought and installed 'Centric Posi-Quiet' Ceramic pads all around. Dust free and great braking. The complete set (front and back) was VERY reasonable. Installation was fast with no problems swapping the OEM's out.

These pads were on my car when I purchased it and they squeezed when braking, so when I put the St/Steel brake lines on the car I took the pads off and applied some Angie steel greener typo the back of the cleaned pads, no more steel.
Great pads, do the job well with little dust.

I recently upgraded my front brakes to these, and have the same experience. No more dust or squeaking, and braking that's every bit as good as the stock pads I had on the car before.

I don't understand. I put these on my front and back and they squeal terribly. Like I am in a diesel semi coming to a stop light. It is embarrassing. Bystanders are wondering if I came in at full throttle and laid on the brakes. Its nice not to have the dust. But I wonder what I can do. Maybe they were installed wrong? Been living with this now for a couple of years. Going back to the guy who installed the brakes to see if he can figure it out. The car doesn't get that much use because I work from home and don't drive that much. 34K on it.

Was "brake quiet" applied to the backing plates on all the pads
I can't stress how important it is to use "brake quiet" when installing new brake pads

Without it it is almost certain your brakes will squeal !!

Does this need to be used on new brakes only, or take off and put on old ones?

I just have a guy do brakes for me from his home. He must have done 15 sets or so for all my/kids cars, and does a ton of vehicles, mostly brakes. I would think he would put this or some like stuff on. But I will check.

For the record, I have Akebono pads which squealed when I got the car, very low dust though. When I installed the steel braided lines I removed the pads, greased the sliding surfaces with brake grease and applied Loctite Disc Brake Quiet Stick compound to the back of the pads. No more squealing after that.
The squeal has come back a little this year, so I guess I am going to repeat the process.

Just had my brake guy work with the Akebono brakes again. Gave him a can of "Brake Quiet". In 20 miles they are squealing like a semi truck again. Just disgusting. I guess I will need to get some different brake pads. I am not sure the brake guy even wants to mess with this again. At least all heads turn and people jump out of the way when I come in for a stop, lol.

Centric posi-quiet ceramics, inexpensive and mine are great at stopping. Big plus, no brake dust! Been on my car almost from original car purchase. Good luck!

I have Akebono pads on my car since I purchased it. They squealed at one time so I used Loctite quiet stick on the back of the pads that was ten years ago and 18,000 miles, they have started squealing again when cold. So I am going to redo them and lubricate the sliding areas with brake grease.
