Default Smaller pulley

Hi every body! New to the forum. The reason I'm here is because I'm trying to find a smaller supercharger pulley for my SRT-6 and have no clue where to begin! I would like to increase the boost on my car But don't really know where to start!

Welcome to the site. Not to be rude, but there are MANY topics on this subject through out this page. It just takes a couple minutes of your time.

I did 2 minutes worth of searching on got this:
http://srt-6.com/knowledge/scpulley.html

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...-failures.html

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...rt-6-best.html

https://www.crossfireforum.org/forum...y-failure.html

It is also a good idea to get a tune with your new pulley to maximize the power.

It depends on how much power you want to add. By machining the stock pulley down 4mm you get a bit of boost but not enough to require a modded fuel system. Aftermarket pulleys net you a lot more power but you need to mod the fuel delivery with a tune and larger pump, etc

If you just want some extra power safely you CAN NOT go wrong with eurocharged 65mm pulley, eurocharge tune, and needswings DCAI.. easy 40-50whp from those.. you only need fuel mods if you go with a smaller pulley then a 65 or if you get a larger crank pully past the 178 size. I have had that setup for 3 years with ZERO issues.. i now run 185 crank pulley with a whole new fuel system and again ZERO problems.. when done correctly these cars can respond well to mods. There are many people here on the fourm that im sure will agree!

Is it a "Rudy" Karman or a "Khang Vo" Karman? Are you open to "lowball" offers? LOL

wel, after we didin't manage to make deal on your pulley, i've contacted Khang Vo to ask him if there is still one pulley for sale... He told me no but after nearly a month of talkings he agree to make me pulley! Not even to make me one but to follow some of my reccomendations.

1. the clutch plate of all pulleys, Ruddy and exploding ones was made of cast iron. I insisted mine to be from robust steel - Tool steel as we call it over here. (don't know the grade) but its white in collor, almost like SS. Not dark like all of the other pulleys.

2. Surely the rivets are recesed, but i wanted that there is space between the head of the rivet and the clutch plate in diameter. (don't know i you understand me...) but the heads of the rivets on older pullet are "snug" in to the clutch plate, which i don't like!
Mine have little bit of space on the outside diameter.

3. The spacer which is used to compensate the bearing thickness is made of steel instead of aluminum.

So is hard to give answer to your question... Its with recesed rivets like Ruddy pulley, but with better material for clutch and with few addition from my knowledge. And ofcourse is made from Khang Vo like all the 62mm Karmen pulleys.

If someone want pictures i will be able to make them aftor 1 week or so, because now i'm in my winter hollyday trip in the mountains

Regards
Marian

Welcome. First give an estimate of you budget for this car over say 1-1.5 years as knowing this will make it easier so you don't redo anything. Jefasold has the right idea for turning the stock pulley down as you retain all of it's strength and fit. I would think turning the stock pulley to 67mm should be safe but ask that here. Being in Bulgaria you would need to get your hands on a spare pulley and the shop Jim(Jefasold) knows well-address and it is on this forum so search. You can get the pulley turned for under $100. No fuel mods needed. Best bang for the buck. For a cold air intake you could do a do-it-yourself version or get the single unit sold by Rob at needswings.com The dual assemble looks better but is overkill, the single will flow enough.
Knowing the budget will help as some of the mods are costly. Eurocharged.com can email you a tune when you are ready. usually they sell that 65mm pulley referenced here with a tune for around $700. Sweet
