crankcase filters
no clue.....this is what he told me. Crankcase vents. the filters were clogged. its missing and blows heavy blue smoke under hard throttle. Under normal driving conditions, it doesnt smoke.
There is one big hose that goes from the drivers side vent cover to the intake just before the throttle body, this one is the "pressure normalization" breather.
Then there are 2 smaller hoses, one from each vent cover, that join and go into the intake manifold on the vacuum side of the throttle body. These are the PCV hoses.
All 3 hoses have tiny holes in the vent covers that can get clogged if you ever run any oil that causes carbon and gum buildup ( can we say "Quaker State" here ? )
As long as the engine is fed a regular diet of synthetic oil ( Mobil1 0/40 ), this should not happen.

You even used to know the diameter of those little (

( Actually, the PVC holes are TINY, the other one is merely minuscule )
Is that tiny size metric or inch?
and btw thats the whole issue...I ran the wrong oil in it and it gummed up everything. I had no clue it would do that...never seen anything like it. It was a mess....now I have thick blue smoke under heavy throttle.

( how to remove and reseal the vent covers, when you have them off you can clean out the holes )
