Default Eurocharged 62mm/tune reviews please

Hi,
i bought another SLK32 AMG again last month.

I have some spare parts in my garage i.e. SL55 intake, 68mm sc/ 166mm crankshaft pulley (aprx. same ratio as a single 62mm sc pulley/ stock crankhshaft pulley)

I am looking for a "simple" Eurocharged 62mm box tune as an upgrade to the existing parts . I would be pleased if somebody can post reviews or results. Is it worth it?

62mm tune different from a 65mm tune? I would say "yes", but i am not sure.

Thanks
Steven

I have the 62mm pulley plus eurocharged tune, with Needswings intake, and as far as I can tell, it is quicker than my previous 181 crank pulley equipped car, which was quick.
I don't get on it too hard in 3rd and 4th, due to a possible lean condition (same as the 181), and plan on getting a larger fuel pump, and adjustable regulator, and dyno tune before fully testing it out.
Things have been known to go bad real fast when these cars lean out at high RPM.

Sounds not too bad to me. I want to keep it simple but I probabely have to use a wideband controller to really know whats going on with the AFRīs. I want to keep it simple as much as possible but simple is not safe at this stage.

Thanks

yes get a wideband had to set my regulator at 67psi to get a 11.5 afr across the board, plus far as boost lowest i see is mid 19s hot weather now its cooler dam near 21 well 20.7 and 20.8 .I have a Eurocharged tune as well amd funny thing is with my 65pulley i was seeing 22degrees of timimg with the 62 is see24 to 25 degrees i thought more boost less timing plus i got a icetank to control intake temps

24-25° @ 21? This would be too much for me.
I was running stacked before with my first SLK32 (166/65) with a box tune from Germany, custom manis and exhaust. I had to rise fuel pressure up to 5.1 bar aprx 74 psi not to lean out on the german autobahn. In fith gear from 5000 up the AFRs still towards lean (13). I was safe with better fuel (102 octane) but i didn`t want to raise the fuel pressure more.
I am not a big fan of manual fuel pressure regulators anymore. Watch your fuel trims. The ECU is trying to adapt back to lean conditions the longer you drive the car. I was suprised to realize this when i checked AFRīs after 3 months-->back to lean.

Have you observed the value of the long term fuel trim in your cases - I think this factor is (also) multiplied on the full throttle map.
On a mbworld tread the guys with their 32/55 have far less lean issues https://mbworld.org/forums/c32-amg-c...ml#post2694311
(With moderate pully you possibly don't even need a tune (... of course - your ratios are not moderate).)
But these MB-C-and-E-class-guys normally don't have the big intake manifolds. You possibly especially need a tune for the big imfs. (And of course for better timing and safety when map-sensor fails.)
