I am in the middle of negotiations on a 2005 Srt with 11,000 miles that does not start. When I had called the dealer told me the car has been inside for almost a year for them trying to Fix the car and try and get a part. When I asked more what I got was classic skreem issue. When he sent me a picture of the inside it was exactly that, the gauges were out and the skreem was on the seat. When I googled the vin this forum came up when someone posted that this car was for sale in 2015 with 5500 miles on it and it was from the same dealer. Even though I think I can get this car running with all your help on this forum and the Carfax is clean, the pics of the car are pretty amazing and I think I can get the car for under 12k all said and done I still feel wary of not knowing 100% what is wrong. I have to make the move shortly and will have no time to try and get my hands on the car, especially that the car is in Nebraska and I am in New York. The Carfax shows last miles of 5500 but it Currently has 11,000 I’m not sure what the inspections are in other states but here in New York every time the car is inspected the miles are documented. Like I said when I googled the Vin this forum came up. Maybe somebody knows something about this car Whatya think.?

YFD_322 I happen to maintain the SRT6 VIN# database on the Crossfire Forum and reviewed the VIN# you've listed in your thread. Even though it is in the database, none of the previous owners either visited the forum or responded to listing their name associated with that particular SRT6. The majority of the owners are not listed in the database, since those VIN#'s were collected from internet sales sites over the years.
In this case, regardless of the low miles (11K now), must not be considered in the sale of this car, it does NOT run and the dealer can't fix it. I would offer the dealer $9,000 and take it off their hands, since it is a large paper waite at the dealership, for the past year. Who else would buy this SRT6 for market pricing? Maybe a well versed current owner of an SRT6? This car has limited sales appeal to the general public.
There are a few SRT6's for sale on this forum that are owned by real lovers of the SRT6, such as Steve (from Indiana) that owns a Aero Blue Coupe with less than 7,000 miles.
You have no idea how that Nebraska SRT6 was maintained, I guess not too well.....
Thank you fir your answer. I can get it for 10k but it’s gonna cost me 2k to get it delivered here and then the cost of SKREEM or whatever. Here are some pics.
YFD_322 You have no idea what this dealership did to this car, I would pass on this one and check out the one listed on the forum, with the link below. Dennis DTMenace
Good decision! Get one that's running. If you can get it for 10K, as is, pass on it. Tell the dealer if he can get it running well with a 90 day warranty, you'll take it for 10K. If he balks, RED FLAG! Offer him $4000 to take it off his hands. What's the worst he can say - No-! I'd still pass though and get one that's running and has been taken care off.
