Default Axle Swap from a Standard Crossfire to SRT6

First of all hello and hope everyone is safe and healthy. Hope to be at the Ozark meet again this year.
ANYWAY... This is Flying Saucers (Grady) friend Dave (painted the orange crossfire). I'm serious into Crossfires now...

I picked up a rather tortured SRT6 coupe. The rear of the car almost had the axle ripped out of it. I'm trying to rescue it...

I used an entire rear axle and cradle assembly from a roadster in this SRT6. Its in there now.. Has anyone done this before? I assume the axle gear ratio is going to anger the computers?
Is it necessary to have a TCU flashed or can the one from the Roadster be installed and work ?

The rear end differential ratio is different in the SRT6 and the base/limited models. The roadster and coupe aspect has no influence; what is important was the roadster a SRT6 or a limited?

The Rear subframe and axle assembly was pulled from a limited roadster and put into a SRT6 Coupe. Anyone have personal experience with a gear ratio change? Does it require a TCU or Flash or can I get by some other way?

The Limited rear axle will probably not handle the horsepower and torque of the SRT.

the limited axles 2005 and up (one piece axle) are the same,,,kinda 2005 has same P/N 2007and up is a larger but hollow axleand stronger, the srt6 has a 3.07 diff the limited has a 3.27 the tcu has to be set up to the car(srt or limited) I can supply you a tcu for a srt6 set up for the 3.27 diff or you can just use the diff from the srt6 with the axles from the limited . the yoke is different on the srt and the limited. as stock they do not interchange yet the axles do.

Update.. I was curious and installed the TCU from the limited into the SRT6 and I do not get a gear ratio error code anymore. I wonder if a TCU from a Limited will do the trick?
But.... regardless of TCU modules I'm getting a P2562 "The gear is implausible or the transmission is slipping" Transmission acting very odd, sometimes works ok and sometimes completely pissed off. I dropped the trans pan, checked filter and pan for debris. looked clean.. I captured about 4 1/2 quarts of fluid, normal I think. Put it all back for time being till I figure out whats up..

So I'm thinking its one of the three. Transmission was damaged in the accident, perhaps conductor plate issues or gear shifter malfunctions....unless someone has other thoughts.

You're getting the P2562 "The gear is ....." error because you are using the wrong TCU for the diff ratio and transmission that's fitted. The TCU measures its input and output shaft speeds and compares it to the gear ratios and diff ratio it has coded into it. This is the error you get when you change the diff ratio without recoding the TCU. There's nothing wrong with your transmission.

with the wrong tcu the transmission will only go into 1 and second gear this is called limp mode .

amx1397, you mentioned being able to provide a programmed TCU that would work with a limited rear diff. How much $ is something like that?

500.00 is to reprogram your tcu,, if i furnish a tcu it is 700.00

Thanks for the info and what not amx1397. Think I may need to just put the SRT diff and TCU back for now and will get back to you on doing a TCU later when all this craziness in the world is over..
