In that case, you must be talking about something other than the intake. Perhaps you mean the throttle or perhaps the piping.
Ya see, the intake is the item that sits under the blower and has eight little holes to allow the air to get inside the engine. It is physically impossible to bolt to a 6 cylinder. If you managed to cobble it together, the intake would have two passages open to the atmosphere. The engine would never run. It's not gonna happen.

Thanks. I am hoping to make it back to the drag strip on October 9th. The big competition will be the SLK55 that is supposed to show up (and of course the clock).

Good luck. Those little SLK55's are mid 12 second cars. You're going to have your hands full.

I was disappointed in how fast the SLK55's turned out to be. I was hoping they would be a bit slower. To have a chance I am going to have to have a hell of a good launch.

I recently played with one at Texas Motor Speedway during the Mercedes On Track. Being an MB employee has a few perks.
The SLK55 accelerated smoothly and downshifted pretty hard when I nailed the throttle at 110 mph. I was able to run it up from 120 to 150 mph between turn three and the front stretch on the TMS oval. Those little cars will settle down nicely and really felt good at those speeds. Me likey!

They are awesome little cars. A MAJOR improvement over the 170 chassis.

My only experience with the SRT6 was a quickie hot lap at the Ballpark in Arlington that involved more drifting than real performance. I was being driven by a DCX rep and the ESP was completely disabled.
That doesn't really count in my book, so I'm still an SRT virgin so to speak.

Unfortunately something came up and I was unable to make it to the drag strip this weekend.

Hopefully we can get another group to make another trip before too long.

an intake can't add 10 hp to the fly nor the crank or the wheels. and a srt6 will not run smooth 12's with slight mods.

Question Re: No 1/4 mile times thread huh

It seems to me that there should be a smaller pulley for the S/C'er. Forgive me for not knowing, I have a Crossfire Limited and don't come over here too much. As far as a 13.0 @109 mph is concerned, the mph shows a mid 12 second pass, but with its gearing (I'm assuming it has the 3.25 our car has, right?) that's to be expected. IIRC, didn't that 13.0 pass happen on bald stockers too?

smooth 12's? they will run 12's all day stock. and intakes can add ten hp in certain applications, and more than that, look at rsx type s', there are intakes that add up to 13 dyno proven hp to the wheels.

Your proving a past posting by yourself well:

"I am new, i just purchased this car and i don't know much about it."

so why pretend to know now about the SRT?

I'm sorry but your uneducated opinions are quite different then the facts...

Heard the track conditions were awful, no one could get any traction. The SLK55 ran a best time of 13.8 (or something like that). Last time an SLK55 was out at this track it was running 12.8's or something like that.

Tires were down to the wear bars on the last trip to the track, but were not to the condition of being slicks.

The SRT6 will break into the 12's stock. Just takes a good track, cool weather, and a good launch/traction.

There are pulley kits for the SRT6 that will deliver more power. I just have not done anything to it at this point.
