I've owned faster cars yes, I've owned much more expensive cars yes. I'm having lots of fun with my Xfire despite its lack of straight line speed even though the car is no slow by any means.

Its the all around package that I love.

So please stop trying to paint us as pie in the sky thinkers. You love you SRT4 because its fast. I think its a tiny little Neon with power which looks ridiculous and is not a car for a grown man to be driving. Now of course that's just my opinion.

See we can both make abrasive comments.
but the difference is, I am not going to attack you for your opinion. Its yours and your are entitled to it.

I got (well they attempted to) flamed for saying how I thought the Audi TT 225 was a better car than the XF, all i did was state my opinion and hard core data, and got horribly ridiculed for then it went into personal attacks. They opened the door and I just slammed it in their face.

But Bullseye, you do attack people...continuously.

I can't count how many times you've mentioned how you prefer the SRT4 over the Xfire. I mean, we get it. Or how many times Car X is better. Again, we get it.

Then you'll proceed to spew volumes of data on how with just a few mods you could do 11's in the SRT4 with ease. BIG DEAL, its still a NEON...Period. A kids car. Heck you could put a V8 on a shopping cart to and do 8's but I'm not gonna drive my lady around in it.

Anyway, its obvious you value different things in your cars. Fine. But please don't try and pan yourself off as the victim or as objective because you're not a man. Just admit it. Its OK, you're a gear head. Nothing wrong with that.

Nothing wrong with people liking their Xfires either. I love mine.

I would show you the threads i speak of but someone deleted them.

The latest for instance, the srt was never brought up. And look how that went. And i meant nothing by it.

The neon thing does nothing, the dart is what the equiv the neon is today. The hemi dart was a 10 second car, but a dart none the less. Makes little sense, no one buys the srt-4 for looks or to stand out with bling.

No idea what your comment of "shoulda bought a leftover c5 or z06 if that's how you wanna go about things" since my engine mods to my SRT-6 will be much more on the mild side then other cars I have owned. Also I had no desire to buy a C5 or even the C6 that I test drove before buying the SRT. The C6 is a nice car but the interior still has a cheaper feel to it IMO...and I was already partial to getting the SRT-6 when I found out about all the AMG parts they used under the hood.

So in closing since we are going in circle's and way off of topic...Feel free to and I promote smart modding...just know what your getting yourself into. Research and open discussions are a tuners two best friends...

Yuck the neon has 4 doors can't really compare it to a two door dart .
The 67'-69' darts were sexy! The neon is not.
I have a personal problem with performance 4 doors it kinda misses the point for me.
The new charger is also a nice car but they should have called it the coronet as it came in a 4 door. Putting the charger badge on a 4 door is just bad marketing if yours ask me.

sorry just my .02

I understand your point of view, I also prefer coupes. But still doesn't hide the fact alot of 4 door cars out perform sport coupes out the box and mod for mod.

true, but that has nothing to do wit what he said. there are a number of two doors that will outperform 4 doors also, and, these cars aside, two doors is still the setup of choice for real sports cars (ferrari's, porsche's, lambo's) there are trucks that outperform coupes too. doesn't make them sports cars.

Not many 2 door coupes can out perform a EVO FQ400. Or a CLS65.

The evo fq400 is a sports car regardless of how many doors it has. Don;t get me wrong I am a huge fan of coupes, I prefer them. If there was a 2 door variant of my srt-4 i would have one. But all the cool crap comes in 4 doors now, i.e. C55, S4, STi, EVO, Srt-4. Go through out my car list and look at how many 4 door cars I have owned as my primary. This is my 2nd one. WRX was 1st.

a truck can never be a car to begin with so that's a no brainer. That's why they are called sport trucks. lol.

there are alot of cars that would out perform the cls 65 on a track, maybe not on the strip, but sports cars aren't drag cars, they are cars meant to perform on tracks. the fq is an amazing car, still wouldn't call it a sports car. the cool crap comes with 2 doors, boxter s, 911, 911 turbo, ferrari enzo, carrera gt, slr, those are cool sports cars. the m3 is still cooler than all the cars you listed, the clk55 is cooler than the c55, and the old 2 door sti's are way cooler than the new ones. fact is, two extra doors is just a compromise to sell more cars, and all great sports cars will always have two doors.

You are missing the point entirely, he is writing off a car just because its a 4-door. And I don't that is all. And i agree about the m3, that's why i had one. I would take the c55 over the clk55 and pocket 25k.

I would like to see a factory truck out perform the cls65 on a track. really. No lightning nor the srt-10 ram would come close.

i'm just saying that some people prefer the dynamics of 2 seat coupes, essentially the essence of sports car and wanted to clear the fact that indeed their are some great, fast 4 doors that would put a whooping on alot of coupes, yet sports cars that are on top of the food chain will always be 2 door. you'll never see a mclaren f1 with 4 doors, because ultimately 4 doors is a compromise, like it or not.

Also IMO 4 door cars like yours are not really "4-door cars." Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think the 4-door model neon is not that much larger in overall size then in it's 2-door trim level. Now comparing that to a true 4-door sports car I have spent some decent time in, the E55. A big, lux-type beast. While the car is quite fast, there's no "feeling" to it and if it wasn't for the speedo I really couldn't tell if I was going 70 or 120...both felt the same. While some drivers like this..I am one that likes to hear a little engine growl and tire chirp every once in a while from a small coupe.
