What to check for on SRT6 170k miles
The SC can have bearing, coolant leaks and screw finish problems. The bearings and seals can be changed. The leaks at the Intercooler mean another cooler.

There is a few articles on what to look for when buying a Crossfire, have you looked at them? The SC.is just a another item to look at.

The primary questions are:
- How many previous owners are associated with this 170mile SRT6?
- Is there a complete service history of this car?
- Is your price range driving the quest to own a SRT6? $5-7,000 price range?
- The car is 19+ years old, what are you expecting, a perfect car?

Well, the front seal on my SRT busted at 177,800 miles, 2 days ago so there's that.
Any high mileage car is going to need work. No matter how well someone maintains a car, there is always that possibility you're stepping into a money pit. Hoses, clamps, fluids, relays and more become brittle and break/bust. My advice would be to find out if this car has service records and fully inspect it as best as possible before buying it. Once crap starts to break, come back here and we can try and help you sort it out.
