Default Needswings hot DCAI touching A/C line

Hi!

My DCAI that obviously gets very hot is touching the A/C cooling line.
Is this a major concern and how to rectify?

The actual A/C line seems very sturdy, thick and solid but still it's rubber.

I attached felt material in that area but I'm still worried about long term damage. Tried to move the DCAI out of the way but it seems like it keeps landing there unless I'm doing something wrong?

To everyone who has a DCAI, does yours touch the line as well? If not, how is it set up to have space between?

Same on the other side by the dual heat vavles:

Here is how it sits in the engine :

..."To everyone who has a DCAI, does yours touch the line as well?..." Mine also touches, proximity of the lines is the reason. I don't think the DCAI gets hot enough for concern, however a small piece of rubber could be cut and installed between the two for spacing and insulation purposes.

DCAI is for duel cool air intake so it shouldn't be hot. The engine bay is probably hotter.

let's loosen the 2 clamps on either end of both main CAI tubes. push the rear end of the main CAI tubes into the Y coupler further. settle the main tubes into the engine bay so there is clearance on both sides from the AC line and Heater valve bracket. while holding them where you want them to stay, then tighten up the hose clamps. if you are coming into town for the woodward dream cruise in 3 weeks i will be happy to get it set for you.

Rob, is it really necessary? Do they get that hot?

Thank you for everyone's feedback. I had originally cut a small piece of felt between those areas where the DCAI touches the A/C line and the dual heat valve bracket.
I might just give it a nother shot adjusting the position as Rob described. My problem is, last time I tried that the pipe would not move into the Y-rubber sleeve any further.

But now you guys have met curious. My DCAI pipes get HOT HOT. I'm sure it's from the engine bay but they get burning hot and I cannot touch them without burning my fingers.
I would be surprised if that was not normal given their proximity to the supercharger/engine?
