The SRT-6 I am going to be checking out in a week or so I found out has a Eurocharged tune from the prior owner. Anyone running their base tune?? Looks like it has been on the car for over 10 years and roughly 8k miles. I take it they are reliable good tunes? Couldn't find much info on the SRT-6 section about it.
Mine came in 2024 with a Eurocharge tune which was apparently acquired in about 2009 after pulleys were added. It's been running well. I've added a SCAI and done the Needs Wings waldig/pulley saver upgrade, and all sweet. Note though that when I got the car there were some codes being thrown. My mechanic had an awful time trying to sort them out, and the ECU tune confused him. We explored removing the tune but his favourite ECU tuner didn't want to touch it without a copy of the original file. I was able to contact the owner who did the tune (NZ is a small place) but he didn't have the file, and Eurocharge never got back to me. I took the car to a good auto electrician who replaced various sensors, and killed the codes using the correct OBD scanner. There was no need to do anything about the ECU tune. Apart from the lesson if using a knowledgeable mechanic and getting a OBD scanner for yourself, the other lesson is that tunes are good and best left once done?
My car came w/EC tune. I still have the file. Then I got a V-Tech Georgia (the country) tune. They are well known on MB forums and Facebook groups. On my other vehicle I have the Mercedes Swap Shop tune. Both are great. And both blow EC out of the water.
Compare to EC, these two tunes run like day and night. I understand EC is known for being "conservative" but I have not heard any issues with Vtech or MSS at all.
For TCU tunes, MSS is THE best. They offer the 4-mode TCU tune. You will be able to adjust the way you car shifts with the S/W switch next to the shifter. There is Agility (A) Mode, Comfort (C) Mode, Sport (S) Mode and Manual (M) Mode. If you click S/W in whatevr Mode you are, the gear display shows what gear you are currently in and prompts you to shift up if you are in Manual mode. Btw, if in true manual mode, it will ONLY shift when you want it, too. So it's the closest to a true manual gear you can get.
Love it. Really woke up the Transmission. Can only recommend, especially for SRTs but I'm sure even N/A will see quite a big difference.
You can always buy the Latemodel21 paddle shifte kit and oh boooooy. It's fun! He can also supply the TCU tune together with the paddle shifter kit. And it's relatively easy DIY

That sounds terrible, Jim. Are you referring to Eurocharged, Vtech Georgia or MSS? Just so we are not spreading false info here or accusing someone who might have had nothing to do with it? What happened to the transmissions? I would have been very very upset. Plus I hate a business that doesn't stand behind their products. If you mess up, admit to it, make it right and do better the next time. Of course, most tuning companies will tell you "at your own risk". It could be total coincidence if someone gets a tune and a day later parts break but if it happens to multiple people and in the same way, that is facts!
