+ 300 to 900 hours. ( if you had to pay or if you charged the labor to make the swap)
but then for the last 6 months that we know of,, you have spent a min. of 4 hours every other day +weekends of 8 to 10 hours, and that comes to more than 1100. hours.at $20.00 per hour =22000+ the 2100. so so you have about $22000.00 in it so far,, that is very good, as my turn key V8 from Rudy was very close to that.
great job, keep us informed.. jim

I think at the time there was a ton more of info unknown for Rudy to figure out. I give him a lot of props for what he's done, it's pretty dang difficult lol. It's always all up in the air too. You never know what's going to work or not. At this point people that were helping me are starting to vanish now that it's getting more and more intense. It will get figured out but it may take a while longer. I rush too much and make it harder on myself.

Lmao, I make sure I still take her to dinner and relieve her of the kids. And 85% of that time has been research, so when the wife's at the gym and the kids get their "gym friends", or if the kids are entertained watching a movie... That kind of stuff. Were young, married, have kids and bought a house... We have no friends lol. In fact when my step-dad comes by we usually have a beer and kick around the research I found out with the car lol.

We have no friends lol.
Although you are a young whippersnapper, I still consider you a friend, although a virtual one.

I appreciate it, I do consider my friendships to be either on this forum or made through this forum. This is a great community... Now only if I could find a job in another state closer to everyone so I can make it to those get togethers a couple thousand miles away lol.

Nice read....enjoying this more and more. As a close old dog friend to the once young gun Rudy...I know how long and hard it took him to get there. So, it's nice to see another blaze the trail. But for you guys wanting one of these, I can only say this. Drive one.... These are monsters.... Les you will be impaled on one of the walls of the tracks you run on.... They are beasts... YOUNG MAN, take out a huge insurance policy for your wife and kids... For you know not what you do.... LOL....OK, enough drama... Good luck with your conversion. But they are beasts and I would love one too....

How did I get dragged into this? I'm a reader and huge supporter of what your doing. This is a swap that will appeal to more people then the MB engine so I'm hoping it'll turn out successful for you.

I've enjoyed following this adventure immensely! Kinda takes me back to my younger "Gitter Done" wrench days (they pale to this though).. And then my intense "How does and what does this thing do" over my first computer with Windows 3.11.. LOL. Clicking an Icon was not enough.. how and why!

My hat is definitely off to your tenacity with this!

Fgtech software wouldn't load, so the bullet was bit and I have a Dell D630 on the way. What sucks the most is that Star was tampered with so I have to fix that now. No big deal it's all there. Just another setback... But the expensive part isn't the software so even if I send it back to the guy I know it wouldn't be too bad.

On another note, my serial eeprom's arrived so I will program one of them to my factory data drop it in the V8 ECU and give it a go. Hopefully if it doesn't crank from the key, it will start with my push button.

Like I thought, the immobilizer is still active so no start. Need to get the laptop with FGtech software so I can flash in the older crossfire firmware version. More to come when flashed.
