New from Zaino
For those of you that use them or are interested two new products are now available from Zaino. Z-AIO All In One $26.95. A new wax product that replaces their Z-1. Apparently this is a wax and not a polish, has mild abrasive in it and should be used with the show car polish over it.
The other new product is Z-CS Clear Seal $29.95 seal coat for the Z-AIO.
Zaino recommends 3-4 times a year usage, you can use the Z-2 as much as you want.
I haven't used either of these yet, I'll try them in the spring. I have about 20 coats of Z-2 on my car now but I'm going to clay bar and start over when it warms up. My only complaint is these products are about $10 more than the other polish products and its hard to imagine they will out perform the existing shine. I'll let you know after I use them.

Yes sounds a bit expensive to me too but seeing as I'm what they call a "Zaino zealot" I have to try it once. I'll call it like I see it, count on that. they came with an ultimate final detailer spray last year. I tried some, smelled like peaches so the bottom line is if you wants peaches go to the grocery store, stick with the Z-6 detailing spray. I gave it to my son before he had the chance to steal it.

I just picked up some CS this past weekend and tried it on my Red '07 Civic that already had about 3 coats of Zaino on it. I personally didn't notice any wonderful improvement yet, but once it gets warmer, I will try doing some more layering and see. I didn't want to try something new on the SRT-6 first, but looks like I will this weekend. I will say it is EXTREMELY easy to use and very fast.

Ya... I'm a Zaino Zealot as well, but I'm going to stick with the Z2, Z5 and the ZFX additive, due to the simple fact that the last few products I've tried have not had too much success (Grand Finale - debacle).
I'm a creature of habit and consistency, give me a product that performs well and is consistent; and I'll use it - No muss, no fuss!

I'm sorry and I'm not flaming anyone who uses "Z", well not anymore anyways,
BTW, tip of the cap to all your chemists out there that figure out all the "Z" this and "Z" that in the application order. I think I'm going to have go to one of those on-line colleges and get my masters on this. For me it’s real simple:
- wash car
- clay bar (Griots)
- 1x Klasse AIO
- 2x Klasse Sealant Glaze (12 hr waiting period in between coats of SG)
- stand back and enjoy!!!

Thanks Aero you reminded me about a follow-up. I used the new Zaino polish product and my response is ho hum. It was a birthday gift so I'll use it up and go back to the Z-2 (I might let my son steal it as well). The Z-6 clear seal is way too hard to use (also a birthday gift). I tried doing a section of my front fender and it was like trying to get butter off the car. As for that Grand Finale stuff XFireHammer I agree with you. That's the stuff that smells like peaches.
I guess the best way to use Zaino is the basics. Z-2, and the Z-6 detail spray.
Their leather products are also real nice, both the cleaner and the conditioner.
Aero I never bought into that Dawn stuff. I washed it with Meguiars and it has about 25 coats of Z-2 on it at this point. Even dirty it looks good. My neighbors ask me why I'm washing a clean car? (My Saturday morning ritual) My response is it covered with dust, its filthy! Bottom line is this, don't care what you use just keep it clean and polished.

but when they say to wash your car with Dawn dish soap to remove all the wax, well, that's where I'd draw the line. Honestly, what do you think a products that "takes grease out of your way" does to your clearcoat.

All I know is as follows:
Everyone has their likes and dislikes, and EVERYONE has their favorites!
I'm not trying to be a moderator but; I believe this was a post about anyone interested in some new Zaino products. I have not used the products that were being discussed so I can not comment or give referrals on them.
Till you try it, don't knock it!

I did in fact use the dawn on my '01 PT cruiser, before i did my first clay and Zaino application. They do not tell you to do it more than once, only for the first time if other wax products have been used. I did that in January of 2001. I traded my PT in late last year and the finish was still flawless. Not sure what is so complicated about using Z2, and following that up with Z6 spray detailer? Since i prefer to do multiple coats on a single day, i use a few drops of ZFX, but that isn't required.
Pat and hammer, thanks for the heads up on the new products. I will stick with Z2 polish, as it has served me well for the last 6 years.
BTW, i have tried most other products on the market. Mothers, Meguirs, Klasse, plus countless other waxes, polishes and snake oil(anyone remember rain dance?). While the big names do a fine job, i have found Zaino to do an equal or better job while be easier to use. Easy to use is important to me, since i am trying to take care of 6 vehicles. The fact that Z2 leaves NO residue and comes off so easily is important to me.
However, for cleaning and preparation of paint that has been neglected, i love the Meguirs products!

Agree with you Blackbelt, Z-2 is one of the easiest polishes I've ever used, no dust, no white streaks. I'm going back to it after I use up the bottle of AIO.
I think the difference between the Z-2 and the AIO is the AIO has the flash cure in it as well as a tiny bit of polishing compound. The stuff dries very fast. I'm usually in no hurry when I wax my car, usually put on in the evening (in the garage) and buffed off the following morning. I used Dawn the first time, only because that was the instructions and I try and follow instructions. I asked Sal Zaino about using it if I planned on using the Z-1 polish lock and he said no, don't use the dawn unless you want to start from scratch. He recommends a coat of Z-1 after every ten coats of Z-2.
Z-1 being the first step in the process, followed by a coat of Z-2 and then detail spray, Z-6.
