Friction in the trunk

Default Friction in the trunk

i saw this when i got the car was not worried about it but i got the paint now so i need to fix it and i'm not sure how to fix it. that's from the rubber stops on the trunk lid.

Mine looks exactly the same. I've been meaning to fix it... I'm embarrassed that I still haven't. Here's what to do.

Fold sandpaper to a point and sand off any rust.

Apply primer to bare metal with a q-tip.

Apply touch up paint after the primer dries.

Good as new.

Mine has that too... doesn't seem like they should have that issue from the factory but... whatever.

Funny... my SRT6 has two little clear plastic 'sticker' type pieces in these areas and I have clean paint under them... the little 'stickers' are getting pretty dull, but I bet I could replace them with something from 3M if I needed to.

cost me $20 but i got some paint made and touched a few spots around the can including that corner. it looks way better but you still the dents tho. i'm not gonna worry about it for now but one i get a little more experience i'm fill the holes. that 3m thing sounds good i'm gonna look to see if i find some clear ones.
