Fixing a dented door?
My door has a dent from the previous owner that has some touch up paint. It's not that big of a deal as the car is a very low mileage daily driver I just purchased... but does anyone have any idea what it costs to fix a door dent? I'm not sure if they charge extra for the side curtain air bags and stuff.

I would guess the cost would be in the neighborhood of $150 or so.
It usually doesn't take very long at all.
I believe there is a Dent Wizard right off Rt.271 by the Randal Park Mall.
If it has touch up paint on the dent then I can guarantee that it will need to be painted. Depending on the location of the dent and the color of the car you will also have to blend(paint) the adjacent panels(fender, 1/4 panel) as well. On top of that everything on each panel being painted will have to be R/I'd(Remove/Install) to be painted properly...and THEN the cost of repairing the actual dent. The cost could vary anywhere from $450-1400 to fix it the "correct" way.
I'm not too worried about it being perfect. If they can pop the dent out I will worry about paint later. Thanks for the input. I'll check out dent wizard.
Let us know how much they charge ya. The last time I had it done (about 10 years ago) it was around $150. But now that I think about it, they may have fixed more than one dent.
A small dent from a scratch just under the door handle was estimated at $625. Had to look hard to see the dent and 2 3' scratches not thru the paint. The 650 was for paint only another 125 to smoothe dent.

Out of curiousity, a Crossfire I am looking to purchase has a small blob of touch-up paint on the passenger side door. No dent, just what must have been a nasty door ding.
Texture-wise, they did a good job on making it flat, but it is a terrible color match. Any tips on how to get the old touch-up paint off so I could try a better match?
Also, do they make interior touch-up paint?

I found this site AutomotiveTouchUp.com that claims factory matched paint (about $20) a friend of mine uses. There are also some excellent touch up kits available for about $25. I used to do body work years ago...today it is a total rip-off.
6 inch of bumper rubber roughed the surface (caused 2 about 3 inch not thru paint scratches that caught finger nail)of my door below the handle $650. When I aeked...we have to disassemble the door and remove both quarter panels to blend the paint,. BULL DOODLE!!!! $30 of touch up and good buffing (hour labor is appropiate. Shouldn't cost over $100.

Well, I tried a home remedy using a hot/cold method. It actually seemed to work some. I imagine it would've worked better if A) it wasn't as cold outside and B) there was no touchup paint on the door. The paintless dent removers say they paint cannot be broken. I will check it out on Saturday and keep everyone updated.
