Quick Detailing Spray
I use Zaino Z-6 - Bottom line use something! It does make a difference. I think all the products mentioned here are good ones ..........use something!
I've been using the Meguiar product line for years now with good results. Both the Quik Detail & Quik Wax sprays work well for last minute glossing whenever I'm going to an event.
As for overall surface prep, I'll use Prep-Sol after a good washing to remove all previous polish/wax on surface. Then a once over with the clay bar followed by a 3-step clean/polish/carnuba wax treatment. Meguiar's products, both the normal & professional series have yielded good results.
And I'm slowly getting convinced that the polish/wax combos are getting so much better that they can eliminate a step for me in the overall process. I do the overall treatment probably every other year, with an application of polish/wax (e.g. Zymol) in the spring & fall of each year.
And I can't stress enough, as others have stated earlier, that the choice of towel is critical in getting a great looking shine. A microfiber type is best and I believe they can only be used 1X and then require a good washing as stand alone garments in your washiing machine. I even have the wife use the delicates cycle to avoid aggressive washing.
