Default Protective film

Hello everyone,

I just saw a product on Speed TV that is a protective film that 3M makes to protect the whole front of the car from rock chips. Anyone have any experience with this? I know I wish I had something like that on my 300M when I had it. It looks like it goes on similar to window tint.

Thanks,

Dennis

Go to the post called "No Janet Jackson here". Someone has used it and there is a link to his detailer. Sounds interesting.

I'll post again. I should have made a separate thread for that. Sorry.

Here is a link with it being applied on my car.

Hood, Bumper, Head lights, Fog Lights, Mirrors, Behind each wheel.

Wash it. Wax it. Remove it when you like. Great stuff. Cost me around 600 to have applied. Typically its around 1000. Either way much less than rock chips / new paint jobs.

Here are some more details from my detailers site.

Default Ultra-Shield?

Andrew,

Have you ever heard of Ultra-shield? Any comments good or bad on it?

I've checked with several detail shops in my area and unfortunately, not much experience with invisible bras. There is a place in St. Louis that is promoting the ultra-shield.

Thanks,

Dennis.

Could you come to Virginia for a weekend? We could probably round up enough folks to defer your expenses and we'd buy kits and have 'em sitting here waiting for you. 8)
