Default Daily Dust Removal

The morning after washing my Crossfire it's already covered with a layer of yellow pollen.

How do folks deal with quick dust / pollen romoval? Why? What's safe? Share you opinons please.

Living here in the land of little rain and a lot of dust, I seldom wash the car. Every few days or so I'll use a quick detailer product (Meguires or Mother's) to wipe the dust off... should work for pollen too.

I've used California Dusters since way before they were called "California".... Mine gets dusted off every morning before I open the garage door. Now that I have cleaner brake pads I use my small duster for the wheels too. It fits perfectly between the spokes.

If I have any spots that the duster won't remove I use Mother's instant Detailer.

Mine waits in the garage all week and on Saturday morning I notice too much dust to ignor or wipe  so I wash it and dry it off and enjoy it all weekend till the next week when it has that layer of dust on it. I was actually thinking about getting that Ionic Breeze thingy from the sharper image to keep the garage dust free. Its supposed to keep the air free from anything that is in it so it just might work, I hope. Just hard to part with the money

Default cali duster

What's your guys opinion of the california duster? Does it really get/dust pollen off quick and easy? I sometimes use a towel to wipe off pollen without spraying anything on the car... and it works ok, but not really that great. If it's bad enough to need the quick detailing spray, I usually just wash the whole thing.

While the duster does get the dust off, I can tell you that it leaves a waxy film on the car which drives me nuts. Was so prevelant on my old black car, I'd hardly ever use the duster. So, I'm not a huge fan, though I do own one and use it occasionally.

My California Duster is working over-time now that the pollen is really bad here.

Default Oreck Air Purifier

I Work Out When the Infomercials Hit the AirWaves and the Oreck Air Pufier Seems to Be Far Superior to the Upright Models Which Need Filter Replacement Which can Run Hundreds in Extra Money Over the Life of the Machine. The Oreck just Needs a Gentle Hosing Every Few Months. As Far as Build Quality is Concerned, I Love my Cordless Iron While My Vacume Has a Few Build Issues. I Think it Has a Money Back Guarentee Though. As For Dust and Pollen, I Really Only Worry About the Windows Until I Wash it at the End of the Week. As Far as Dealer Washing, I'll Pass. I Have a System. Windows First, Then Hood and Upper Side, Before Getting to the Dirty UnderSide With the Wheels Receiving Attention Last with a Different Sponge and Cleaner.
