How does everyone keep their paint "new"
I see everybodys crossfire's and see the mirror like finish in your cars. What is everyone using to do this? I bought mine used and drive it daily and understand I cant keep it perfect but what should one do to fresh up their paint if you will. Ive thought about buffing a little but honestly have no clue where to start so if anyone can chime in id appreciate the help

Good products and lots of hours of hard work. Frankly, it took me lots of practice to learn to use the products correctly. What's on the side of the bottle is always too vague. I like the Junkman's videos. He rambles on and you have to watch a bunch of them but what you need to know is in them.

Or, you can run through a fence and have yours repainted....or, you can have some idiot, hit you in the side, and run off without telling you, and have yours repainted...or, you can follow the "junkman" and learn to do it right....
Couldn't resist Les....and I picked on me too....
Hey now! My car was purdy and polished before the incident and repaint. BTW, the paint looks better than new but the clear seems to be real soft. It gets swirls from a windy day.
Good products (lots out there) but most important is knowing how to use them correctly.

Good to know about the clear coat Les. I was lucky and only had a door skin to paint, not the whole car. I have a new buffer and all the goodies, just waiting for some "time" to get at it. I am a "junkyard" fan...lol

My suggestion, and yes it is a bit biased, is to head over to Car Care Forums: Meguiar's Online - News & Announcements and check the link to the right about "Getting Started" and check out the 5 Step Paint Care Cycle and the How To Use The G110v2 and Similar Tools articles. Bottom line - it can take many hous to put a car right the first time but once that's done, frequent and quick care can maintain a finish at a very high level for a very long time. I haven't had to buff out my daily driver for almost 5 years and it's still darn near perfect.
